The National Christ Child Society is a voluntary service organization devoted to promoting the welfare of needy children.

It was founded by Mary Virginia Merrick in 1887. There are currently over 7,000 members serving 40 chapters throughout the USA.

Baby Shower 2025 is a Wrap! Literally! Admission was a wrapped Baby gift, and guests then opened them! You don't get to open too many gifts in recent years, with the gift card trend, so it was lively and fun! Guests also enjoyed Lunch and homemade desserts provided by the Christ Child, and sponsored and attended by Kim Cresse and Sturdy Bank! Thank you to all the members who worked hard to make this happen! The gifts were de-tagged the next day by more members, then sorted and put away by our wonderful Layette ladies, Yvonne & Marti! If you'd like to consider becoming a member, please reach out to us! We welcome any and all who have time and are willing to do the work, it is a very rewarding way to help babies and children!!

Enjoy an afternoon of delicious food, fun, and laughter, all for a great cause.

Proceeds from this fundraiser help the Christ Child Society provide clothing and toys to underserved children in Cape May County during the holidays.

$35 per person includes soup, choice of sandwich, dessert, and beverage.

Bingo prizes, 50/50, and raffle baskets!

Oct. 19th! 1-3pm! Mark your Calendars! Help support our Local Moms-to-be! YOU know how expensive diapers, clothing, baby wipes, etc. are! The Christ Child Society will help them with you! Enjoy a happy, pleasant afternoon with your friends while helping others! Admission is a wrapped Baby Gift and book, tags off. Finger sandwiches and Beverages will be served. Our Spring Fling 2025 was a beautiful day at a beautiful venue, The Shore Club! Members were hard at work making the room in a lovely Enchanted Garden and selling those Raffle tickets! It takes a great team and they all did it perfectly! Thank you so much to everyone who attended and donated and all of our generous sponsors, patrons, and our generous members!

The Women's Only Network Ladies were awesome last night and they presented our Christ Child Society with many, many gifts for babies, donated by all their wonderful members! A delicious Dinner at Alfe's in WW, camaraderie, and well-being made this night a hit! It's official! Tickets are on sale now! The luncheon choices will be Flounder Francaise, Chicken Piccata, Tres Major Steak, or Vegetarian Choice. This includes Salad, rolls, dessert, soft drinks, coffee & tea. Tickets are $50.00 There will be a Cash bar! Call Kay today for tickets with your meal choice!! Our Story

The Christ Child Society of Cape May County has continued to grow in members and the total services provided for needy children. The primary emphasis is placed on helping the newborn and infants in need. Our work is done for all needy children, regardless of race, color or creed. To defray the cost of materials and items, the Christ Child Society has raised money in various ways. Members have held raffles, garage sales, cake sales, card/game parties, and our annual Spring Fling luncheon. Celebrate Life, our annual Baby Shower, has become a popular event in our area. The price of admission to the Baby Shower is a wrapped baby gift. The many gifts we receive are used in making the baby layettes. Gently used infant and toddler clothing, strollers, bouncers, swings and high chairs are welcome. These must be clean and in good condition. We provide them to our agencies for the families as the needs arise.
