The Werstler Family can trace its North Canton roots back to Charles McFadden, superintendent of schools in the 1920s. Richard Werstler was a long-time school board member and was inducted into the Hall of Distinction in 2000. Todd Werstler is a 1972 graduate, participated in football and wrestling, and later followed his father as an optometrist. Todd’s wife Erin was the tournament director of the Hoover Holiday Wrestling Tournament for 20 years. Their desire is to assist graduates who have excelled in both academics and athletics. We are pleased to award $1000 with this scholarship.
