Grateful, Thankful, and Blessed
Dear Friends and Family,
As we enter into one of the most wonderful times of year, Doris and I want you to know how very grateful we are for each of you, who so faithfully love us, pray for us and support the ministry here in Guatemala. Doris and I have so very much to be grateful for. This year marks 31 years in Guatemala. God has been so very good to us! We have had many challenges and great successes. We are so grateful to God for His faithfulness!
Thankful to God for His Greatness!! Thankful, that He has once again provided the needs of Hospital Shalom. He has provided doctors, nurses, and staff who share the vision that God had given to us. Staff who along with Doris and I go daily into the patent rooms and minister to each patient. Hospital Shalom has had many successes this year. He has provided the finances needed to keep Hospital Shalom operating and staff paid. Our village school and nutritional program has seen great advancement and will continue into the year 2020. New projects are on the agenda for next year. Projects that will reach out into the community and touch the lives of those who are in desperate need. Those who have no hope will now learn of a hope they can depend upon and trust; our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We are so thankful to each of you who continue to help us help others.
Blessed beyond measure! Doris and I along with the staff at Hospital Shalom feel blessed beyond measure. Last year at this time, we were not sure what the future of Hospital Shalom would be. We continued trusting God that He had the plan. We are so very grateful, thankful and blessed that He had Hospital Shalom in the palm of His hand. He was guiding our steps. He blessed us with a wonderful staff and many new ideas on making Hospital Shalom a very blessed hospital!
Our year end schedule is quite busy. This month Hospital Shalom has hosted two doctor groups from the U. S. and will be hosting a Samaritan’s Purse cleft lip and palate team in December. We ask for your continued prayers as we move forward reaching out to our community and those who need to see the love of Jesus! We appreciate and love each of you. We are so very grateful, thankful and blessed that you have chosen to be a part of what God is doing in the Petén region of Guatemala through New Covenant World Missions.
With Grateful, Thankful and Blessed Hearts,
Wishing you A Blessed Thanksgiving
Tim and Doris

This is Soy Alba Monserat. She is fighti g hard to recover from her second bout with Dengue fever. The first time was just a short time ago and after two nights in Hospital Shalon she was doing fine.

Now we are dealing with a second and much worse attack to her system. Alba's mother calls her a vallient fighter. Please keep her in your prayers.

ALSO .....We want to thank all those who have helped us purchase the medicines and equipment, like these two new infusion pumps. They were just delivered yesterday and hard at work today.

Reverend: It's extremely important to be certain that the mission is what God wants.

This is my picture of the week ....well OK it could be my picture of the month. She does not have a name yet and she came into this world this morning just a little earlier than expected.

Her mom came to Hospital Shalom having some pain and after an examination she went directly to the OR for an emergency C-section.

Without a neonatal intensive care unit we had to come up with something that would work as an oxygen hood. Praise God it worked.

Dear friends and family,
We are sending out this post in order to make an appeal for our missions hospital we operate here in the Peten region of Guatemala. Many of you know how God called us to build this work over 20 years ago. We have been in operation for 12 years now and our heart has always been to serve the people of the Peten, providing love and medical care to all who come.
This has proven to be more challenging than we ever dreamed. Now we find ourselves at a Crossroads, Desiring to keep our doors open yet struggling to make ends meet. As we said at the beginning this is an appeal to anyone believing in the heart of this mission to get behind us and pray as well as offer financial support.
None of these funds are for missionary support. They will all go toward utilities and employee pay - our most vital needs. It is our desire to continue to employ people of the Peten. ****Our current need is $80,000 in order to continue operations.*****
We believe that this dream will not die and with that hope we are humbling ourselves in order to ask for both your faith and financial support. If this stirs your heart, please click on the Donate link above and follow directions on our website. Thank you for hearing our appeal!

Message from Tim Spurrier: This is why Doris and I are stuck in Guatemala city. NO flights can go because of the sand and ash in the air. As Doris and I walked the streets we could see the city work crews sweeping the sand trying to clean up. The air was so full of ash we could taste it as we walked.
Please pray that we can get home soon and most of all safely. Thanks
