It may be a gloomy, rainy Monday outside, but at JFS we are feeling bright and cheery! The Venue at Monroe Shalom Club stopped by to drop off a generous donation for our kosher food pantry, providing a much-needed restock of nutritious, shelf-stable items. Thank you! 😍

With government funding at an all-time low, JFS relies on our wonderful community partners to make sure we can continuing helping all people in need.

There is more than one way to need support. 💙

At JFS, individuals and families may turn to different services at different times in their lives. Whether someone needs food assistance, senior services, counseling, immigration support, or career resources, having access to the right support can make a meaningful difference.

Every person’s circumstances are different. That’s why connecting people with the resources that fit their needs is so important.

Because support should be accessible, compassionate, and available when it’s needed most.

For many people, pets are more than companions. They are family. 🐾💙

JFS is looking to expand its Food Pantry to include pet food, helping individuals and families care for every member of their household.

No one should have to choose between feeding themselves and caring for a beloved pet.

Because pets deserve dignity, care, and support, too. 🐾

For older adults, access to transportation can make it easier to remain connected to important services, activities, appointments, and the people who matter most.

JFS provides senior services designed to help older adults maintain independence and stay connected to their community.

Because support is not only about where you are. Sometimes, it is about helping you get where you need to go.

More than 40,000 meals delivered each year. More than just food. 💙

JFS Kosher Meals On Wheels provides weekday meals and frozen meals upon request for weekends, helping seniors receive proper nutrition throughout the week.

Many KMOW recipients live alone and have limited community support. That’s why each delivery can mean more than a nutritious meal. Volunteers also check in on recipients and report any unusual conditions or behaviors, helping provide an added layer of care and connection.

JFS works closely with Glatt kosher caterers and expert dietitians to provide nutritionally appropriate meals for seniors.

Because helping older adults live happy, healthy, and productive lives means supporting both their nutritional needs and their well-being.

If you'd like to get involved, there may be a volunteer opportunity that’s a good fit for you.
