Yesterday marked our organization’s initial participation in “stand down” veterans networking event, and it was truly remarkable. Our team successfully partnered with various organizations throughout New Jersey to address veteran needs and advance important initiatives. A heartfelt thanks to Mr. David Pearson for his outstanding efforts in organizing and coordinating this event. Veterans across the state deeply appreciate the support provided by these organizations. Kristian Hunt, LCSW and LCADC, received his Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Rutgers University. Specializing in substance use disorders and co-occurring conditions, he focuses on young adults dealing with identity and relationship challenges, offering psychotherapy and motivational coaching. With a client-centered approach, he utilizes modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. As the owner of Self-Made Lifestyle LLC in Edison, NJ, Kristian aims to promote mental health awareness and normalize the need for services. He joins the team as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

Stephon Sabre’ Fields, from Irvington, NJ, felt a divine calling at age 6, driving him towards success in the marketplace and the kingdom. He founded “YL Brotherhood,” serves as a traveling Worship Leader, Songwriter & Artist, and works in Tech Sales. Known as a “faithful servant,” Stephon will now serve as Chair of Religious Affairs and Spiritual Engagement, deepening his commitment to service.

Alexis Alvarez is excited to join TTA Empire Inc, where she can continue her passion for community impact and service, particularly in assisting veterans find homes. With empathy and expertise, she ensures a smooth mortgage process for clients. Beyond work, she’s active in community initiatives. As Chair of Veteran Home Buyer Education/Mortgage Loan Officer, Alexis is eager to continue creating homeownership opportunities and building stronger communities.

Deandrah Cameron, a first-generation graduate and Jamaican immigrant, holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and a Master’s of Public Health with a focus on Health Systems and Policy from Rutgers University. With prior service in the US Army Reserves, she now works as a Policy Manager at New Jersey Future, focusing on health, water infrastructure, and redevelopment policies, particularly addressing lead contamination in drinking water. Additionally, she will serve as Chair of Public Policy and Advocacy.

gyemang Owusu Samuel served actively in the Ghana Armed Forces for sixteen years, starting in 2008 and fulfilling pension eligibility requirements. With diverse roles like Patrol Leader, Guards Supervisor, Executive Protection Officer, Administrative Assistant, and Press Information Officer, he gained extensive experience, including diplomatic es**rt missions in Cote D’Ivoire, monitoring roles in South Sudan, and leadership in Southern Lebanon. Holding a diploma in Public Relations from the University of Education, Winneba, a BA in Communication Studies from the Ghana Institute of Journalism, and certificates in security and awareness courses from the United Nations Peace Operations Institute, he is now serving as the Chair of West Africa Foreign Affairs for transitioning veterans coming to the United States.
