We've had a great year doing our little part to reduce suffering in the world. With the support of some very fine friends we were able to supply the cancer center at Harrington with shawls, scarves and comfort care tote bags for their clients.
They are currently well supplied so we've decided to turn our energy to another group.
In nearly every school there are kids going through challenges in their lives. Challenges that would test anyone. Kids are going without some of the basic necessities of day to day living. We would like to change that for at least the ones we can reach.
I redesigned the bags we make from a tote bag to a drawstring backpack and we would like to fill them with things like shampoo, hairbrush, soap, toothpaste and brush, clean socks, tampons etc.
We still have enough resources for about ten bags but going forward we will be looking for donations.

Another successful shopping trip with Mary
We have enough to fill 24 tote bags for Harrington Cancer Center or for anyone who requests one.
We need your help though,to get everything we need for the totes this costs us $ 100 and our funds will not cover anymore totes after these are delivered . Hearts Of Bell Street wants to continue the wonderful work that we do but we need donors to keep going.

Big thanks to another Bell St neighbor for a wonderful donation to add to our tote bags,a natural face peel for our chemo patients.
Remember: we are doing this as an ongoing project so you can still contact us to donate..also there is a drop off box at 26 bell st if you would like to donate items for our tote bags. In addition to the totes we have scarves for headwraps and a couple of homemade shawls each month

Hi Everyone,just a reminder of our ongoing campaign to bring tote bags filled with essentials needed for chemo,I have a drop off box on my front porch ( 26 Bell St, North Brookfield) or you can send a check,money order or cash for us to buy what we need for tote bags.
The tote bags are made by Mary Krause ,Mary Para makes personalized greeting cards and dammit dolls,I crocheted shawls and do the office work. We are getting ready to deliver another 12 bags very soon.
