Celebrating Jackie at 40 💛

For her 40th birthday, Jackie is choosing to give back. In honor of her father, Robert Michael Colavolpe, she is asking friends and family to donate to For Cameron in lieu of gifts.

Jackie is one of our most consistent and dedicated supporters, always stepping up at our events and sharing her incredible organizational skills. We are so grateful for all she does for us.

This birthday is especially meaningful as Jackie celebrates reaching an age her father never did, and honoring his memory by helping others impacted by addiction and loss.

Our Advisory Board Chair, Joe Firine, also serves on the Elm City COMPASS Community Advisory Board.

As Joe shared, his goal is to “humanize the data”… to remind us that behind every statistic is a person, a family, and a story. He believes that Substance Use Disorder and housing instability are too often compounded by stigma, which can silence those who need help and isolate the people who love them.

At For Cameron, we share that same belief: meaningful change happens when we replace judgment with empathy and work together to build a healthier, more compassionate community.

We are so proud of Joe and his continued commitment to reducing the stigma which creates hope for others 💛

Today would have been Cameron’s 36th birthday.

Some days tied feels loud. Birthdays are one of them.

We often talk about overdose statistics, stigma, and awareness. Behind every number is a person deeply loved and deeply missed.

Today we celebrate Cameron not for how he died, but for who he was and the impact his life continued to have.
