REMINDER: Next Booster Club meeting is tomorrow evening, 5:30 - 6:30pm at the Bloomfield Park Pavilion. We have fundraising decisions to make, ideas to hash out and partnerships to talk about.

If you can make it, larger numbers make for great idea sessions! Please encourage other parents, students and Bloomfield-Mespo L*D community members to join you. We have been able to help our athletic department and students with some great projects and look forward to continuing to do so with the input and help of great people who want to make a positive difference for our kids. Your participation can be as little or as much as you would like. If you prefer to help by monetary donation, time donation, etc every little bit helps and counts!

Mark your calendars ahead, our meetings are held the 1st Wednesday of each month and are typically in the high school cafeteria (not this month due to the construction). Start time is 5:30 and we try to wrap it up by 6:30.

We look forward to seeing you and getting your input and feedback!

Great meeting on Wednesday, May 7.

We were excited to see some student representation and requests for equipment! We approved purchase/donation of some additional equipment for the weight room that will be used by student athletes as well as students in some of the Physical Education classes. We were encouraged to be approached by student body with items that they would like to see added to or replacing existing equipment.

ATHLETE APPRECIATION DINNER

We made final plans for the Athlete Appreciation Dinner to be held on May 28 at the high school. Invitations will be coming soon via US Mail, and will require written RSVP's as the dinner will be catered. We would like some additional help with setup, etc so if you're willing to donate an hour or so please let us know!

SPRING BASKET RAFFLE

We will be beginning our Spring Basket Raffle at the above appreciation dinner and selling tickets during the Bloomfield Optimist Festival May 29,30 & 31, baskets will be drawn and winners notified the afternoon of May 31. Tickets will be $1 each or 6 for $5. There are 3 "baskets" - (1) Family Movie/Entertainment Night (1) Sports Basket (1) Outdoor Entertaining . We have some coverage for ticket sales at the Festival but will also welcome additional help. If you have some time and are willing to help the cause we would appreciate your time!

BANNER DRIVE 2014-15 SCHOOL YEAR BEGINS

Banner forms for our annual banner drive in the high school gymnasium are now available (will post a copy on this site). These have been a great fundraiser for our organization, as well as an awesome and cost efficient advertising medium for the participating businesses/organizations. Let's see if we can renew all existing, and add another 10! It's great to see the amount of support our kids are getting from the community!!

SPORTS CAMPS

We briefly discussed some sports camps for some of our teams. These are great opportunities for our athletes to get intense training, coaching, etc from professionals to help advance their athletic abilities. If you have or know of any type camps, on location instruction, etc that would benefit our athletes please get the information to us so we can review and possibly schedule for our kids to take advantage of these programs.

Our next meeting will be June 4, 5:30pm at the pavilion in Bloomfield Twp Park.

REMINDER TO PARENTS & HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETES....your RSVP's for the High School Athlete Recognition Dinner are due in the high school office by this Wednesday, May 21.
