We’re raising funds for Stella’s Pause for the Cause to bring more toys, joy, and tail wags to pups who deserve the VIP treatment (Very Important Pup, obviously). Every donation = more squeaks, more zoomies, and fewer judgmental stares from dogs like Stella.

Same Day Adoptions!

You can see who is available for adoption before your visit at https://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/animalservices/adoption/index.html. The website updates every two hours.

How to Adopt:
Step 1: Complete the Adoption Questionnaire

Step 2: bring a government-issued photo ID with you such as your driver’s license.

We rely on donated supplies so if you can, please bring a carrier if adopting a cat or small animal or a leash and collar/harness if adopting a dog.

Be prepared to pay the adoption fee, usually under $200.

Step 3: Come to the Shelter!

Visit us at 7315 Muncaster Mill Rd. in Derwood, MD. You may walk through the shelter and view our available animals any time we are open.

Donation day round 1 was a success. Before we left they had all the collars out and ready for the dogs. They loved the bright colors. The towels and blankets when to the cat and kitten section. The toys were so appreciates along all the treats and toys. When asked what they need more of they said “spread the word”. Help get these animals homes and help them be comfortable while they wait. We will keep helping with your support. 🐾🐶🐈

They are always looking for volunteers (must be 18+)
