Former Noble player! Way to go Jamier Rose⚔️🏀
🔥 THE PENMEN SURVIVE A DOUBLE OT THRILLER.
In a game that will go down as an instant NE10 classic, SNHU Men’s Basketball outlasted Bentley in a 2OT war to keep their season alive. It was high-stakes, high-drama, and a showcase of the best talent the 207 has ever sent south.
🌲 Maine’s Own: Jamier Rose is a Winner. Period.
If you’ve followed Maine hoops, you know the name. Jamier Rose (Berwick, ME) is a proven winner, and today he proved it on the biggest stage yet. The former Noble standout and Mr. Maine Basketball played with veteran poise, orchestrating the offense through two pressure-packed overtime periods. He made the winning plays that don't always show up in the box score—taking care of the ball, locking up defensively, and finding the open man when the season was on the line. He is the engine that keeps this Penmen run moving.
🎯 Respect to a Legend: Cash McClure
On the other side, we saw the end of one of the most decorated careers in Maine basketball history. Cash McClure (Readfield, ME) left it all on the floor in his final game for Bentley.
Even in a heartbreaking loss, Cash proved why he is a pure bucket. The Maranacook legend fought through every double-team and every tired leg in double OT, closing out a 1,000-point career that saw him earn All-Conference honors and Academic All-American status. A scoring machine and a class act until the very last whistle.
📊 Semifinal Bound
Survival Mode: The Penmen showed ice-cold veins, answering every Bentley run in the extra frames to punch their ticket to the next round.
The Matchup: With this win, SNHU moves on to the NE10 Semifinals this Wednesday, March 4th.
The Torch is Passed: While Cash hangs up the jersey as a Bentley great, Jamier Rose is just getting started as the next big thing in the NE10.
Maine basketball was the real winner in Waltham today. 🌲🏀
