Our interns are out here hiking and capturing moments in nature!

Lauryn, one of our interns, loves hiking with Outdoor Equity Coalition because it’s more than just hiking. It’s a BIPOC outdoor community where people come together for healing, good energy, snacks, laughter, and access to local trails around the Seattle-Tacoma area 💚

Whether you’re brand new to hiking or already outdoorsy, OEC makes it easier to show up, feel welcome, and experience nature in community.

Especially for youth, who can actually get paid to join our hikes and events!

Keep an eye out for future events because trust… we’ve got BIG things coming 👀🌲✨

Nature should feel accessible, welcoming, and healing for ALL families 🌿

Research shows that many BIPOC communities still face barriers to outdoor recreation, including transportation, cost, safety concerns, and lack of access to culturally welcoming spaces. That’s why programs like Hikes4Healing matter.

We’re creating spaces where youth and families can reconnect with nature, build confidence outdoors, and experience joy in community 💚

Join us for our upcoming Hikes4Healing at Franklin Falls, a beginner-friendly waterfall hike that’s perfect for families, first-time hikers, and youth looking to get outside.
