Taking the next step from single-pitch climbing to multi-pitch terrain comes with a whole new set of skills—and this clinic was all about building that foundation.

Guided by Cecil Sherwood , with trin 🌲 shadow guiding, climbers learned anchor building, cleaning routes, rappelling, and practiced leading their own pitches. Throughout the weekend, participants built confidence with multi-pitch systems while gaining experience in the skills and decision-making that help climbers move beyond the single-pitch crag.

We love creating spaces where climbers can learn new skills, ask questions, and grow alongside community. A huge thank you to everyone who showed up ready to learn and support one another throughout the weekend.

We loved receiving this feedback after our Top Rope Anchors & Cleaning course at Smith Rock:

“Thank you for creating a space that welcomed curiosity, silliness, confusion, and a healthy dose of brain fog.”

Climbing can be technical, but learning doesn’t have to be intimidating. Some of the best moments from the day came from people asking questions, talking through systems together, and building confidence in a supportive group.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us. We can’t wait to see where these skills take you next.
