We are proud to have donated 500 blankets, hats, and scarves to Ukranian refugees fleeing to Poland and Romania. We are part of shipments like the one pictured. MEEST Shipping Company in Port Reading, NJ employs many Ukranians and is providing the shipping. Thank you to all who have donated warm and comforting items.

Today we honored our "Super Knitter" Phyllis Cassell. Phyllis has been dedicated to Care To Knit for years and has donated thousands of baby sweater sets, hat and scarf sets, and blankets. Her exceptional talent and generosity of spirit have brought smiles and comfort to all who receive her beautiful and unique gifts. Thank you, Phyllis, for being an important part of our mission.

YARN NEEDED! Our volunteers are in need of 4 ply acrylic yarn. We have had a very busy winter resulting in a depletion of our yarn supply. The need for warm and comforting items is greater than ever. Please message us for details on how to donate. Thank you!

During these challenging times, Care To Knit is bursting at the seams with your generosity. While we encourage you to knit and crochet at home, we cannot accept anything at this time. We are not able to deliver donations during the Stay at Home guidelines. Please hold onto your donations and send them to us when our national crisis is over. Thank you for your continued support. Stay safe, stay healthy, keep your needles clicking and stay home.

On December 13, 2019, The American Legion Auxiliary, Manhasset Post 304, presented Ines Basso Glick, Executive Director, with a plaque honoring Care To Knit for the many years of ongoing blanket donations to the Northport Veteran's Hospital.
