πŸ’™β›³ What an amazing day serving at the Feeding the Fearless Golf Tournament!

Our Lionsgate students had the opportunity to volunteer alongside some incredible community members while supporting an organization that pours into the first responders who serve and protect us every day.

At Lionsgate Academy, we believe learning extends far beyond the classroom. We love giving our students opportunities to serve, connect with others, and be part of something bigger than themselves. The smiles, teamwork, and servant hearts we saw today were such a reminder of what makes our Lionsgate family special.

A huge thank you to Katie Mode and the entire Feeding The Fearless team for allowing us to be part of such a meaningful event. We also want to give a special shoutout to our board member, Isaiah Norfleet, for sponsoring our awesome Lionsgate shirts!

We are grateful for every opportunity to serve our community and teach our students that leadership begins with serving others.

🦁✨ Your path. Your pace. Your purpose.

Police K-9 Rex is going viral after a school visit ended with him covered head to tail in colorful stickers. 🐾

While Rex’s handler spoke with teachers during a community outreach event, a group of kindergarten students quietly decided the patient German Shepherd needed a makeover.

Soon, Rex’s fur, ears, and even his official police vest were covered with stars, hearts, and smiley-face stickers.

But the best part?

Rex sat perfectly still the entire time, calmly soaking up all the attention like a true professional.

According to his handler, Rex was so comfortable in the classroom that he even leaned away when officers tried removing the stickers and seemed reluctant to leave.

Moments like this remind people why police K-9 programs often become such an important bridge between officers and the communities they serve. β€οΈπŸ•

As National Police Week is coming to an end, today we pause to reflect on National Peace Officers Memorial Day.

Today, we honor and remember every law enforcement officer who gave the ultimate sacrifice while serving their community.

On Wednesday night, 363 names were read aloud during the Candlelight Vigil in Washington, D.C.

363 officers.
363 stories.
363 families forever changed.

As of today, the Officer Down Memorial Page reports 41 line-of-duty deaths in 2026.

This is a battle that will never fully end until the return of the Lord Jesus Christ. Until then, we will continue standing behind our mission that Police Are People.

We will continue supporting and encouraging law enforcement officers and families across this nation.

This week, our hearts are especially heavy in South Carolina as multiple law enforcement families are grieving unimaginable loss.

Today, my family is also taking time to honor the officer from our department who was killed in the line of duty in 2022.

Please join us in taking a moment to pray for and remember every family whose officer never made it home.
