For the second year in a row, South Carolina AGD is sponsoring the “CE & Ski” continuing education weekend. The program will return to the scenic slopes of South Lake Tahoe, California from March 5-7, 2026.

Attendees will have the opportunity to earn up to 10 hours of continuing education (CE) credits. Courses have been curated by Dr. Matt Evans and Dr. Jim Curtis, with course topics including antibiotic stewardship, endodontics, periodontics, and more!

: In 2025, the MUSC AGD Student Chapter hosted multiple impactful continuing education (CE) courses, including one session that focused on the critical role of oral medicine in everyday practice.

The course, titled “Oral Medicine in General Dentistry: Recognizing and Managing Systemic Connections Through Clinical Cases,” was presented by oral medicine specialist, Dr. Hayley Vatcher. Dr. Vatcher introduced and defined the specialty of oral medicine while highlighting common conditions encountered in general dentistry. Through clinical cases, attendees gained practical insight into recognizing oral manifestations of systemic disease and understanding appropriate management and referral considerations.

The event drew more than 100 students, underscoring their interest in oral medicine, continuing education, and the relevance of comprehensive patient care.

Thank you, Dr. Vatcher, for discussing the oral medicine specialty with our dental students! Special congratulations goes to MUSC AGD for hosting a successful evening of CE. We are looking forward to seeing which courses they bring to campus in 2026!
