Sometimes a child is carrying more than they know how to put into words. 💜

After frightening or painful experiences, some children may struggle to feel safe, trust others, or manage big emotions. That can look like anger, withdrawing, worry, or difficulty paying attention. What we see on the outside doesn’t always tell us what they’re feeling inside.

So where do horses come in? 🐴

With a caring mentor beside them, grooming or leading a horse gives children opportunities to slow down, notice their surroundings, practice gentle communication, and learn to respect boundaries. Completing a small task can also give them something meaningful to feel proud of.

A child doesn’t have to explain their whole story to take part. They can begin with a brush, a patient introduction, and someone willing to walk alongside them.

At Hope for Hooves, our Healing with Horses program brings together groundwork with horses, one-on-one mentorship, and faith. Our goal is to give children room to build confidence, experience connection, and know they are valued and loved.

Every child moves at their own pace. We trust God with the seeds we plant, even when we can’t yet see them growing.

What if YOU could be the reason a child finds hope?

As I look through these pictures, I can't help but think about the lives being touched through our Healing With Horses program. Every smile, every little breakthrough, every connection between a child, a mentor, and a horse reminds me why God placed this ministry on my heart.

And I can't help but dream a little bigger. Well, maybe a LOT bigger!! ❤️

My heart's desire for 2027 is to expand Healing With Horses to TWO evenings a week, Tuesdays AND Thursdays!

But here's the thing... we can't do it without more people willing to step up and pour into the lives of these children.

Maybe one of those people is YOU.

You don't have to be a horse expert. You don't have to have all the right words. You just need a willing heart, a little patience, and a desire to make a difference.

Sometimes the greatest gift we can give a child is simply showing up, week after week, reminding them that they matter, that they are loved, and that someone believes in them.

If you're looking at these pictures and something in your heart is stirring, please don't ignore it. Maybe God is nudging you toward something you never imagined yourself doing.

We're not just looking for volunteers. We're looking for people willing to invest in a child's life.

My prayer is that God will send the right people, open the right doors, and make a way for us to reach even more children in 2027.

Week 3 is in the books and my cup is literally running over!!!

Words cannot describe Thursday nights! There's so much love. So many smiles. So much joy. Just sooooo much of God revealing himself!

I don't even know where to begin, except to say THANK YOU, LORD! ❤️🐴

This week has been one of those weeks where I just have to sit back, take it all in, and thank God for what He's doing.

Doors are beginning to open. Conversations are happening. New relationships are being formed. And things that once seemed like nothing more than a dream are slowly beginning to feel possible.

And I am so incredibly grateful.

God has placed some pretty big dreams on my heart for Hope for Hooves. And what makes it even more special is that He's been placing some of those same dreams and visions on the hearts of our volunteers, too.

There's something so encouraging about watching people come together, each bringing their own gifts, ideas, and passion, and realizing that maybe God has been preparing us for something much bigger than we ever imagined.

I don't know exactly what all of this is going to look like yet. I don't know how every piece is going to come together, and I certainly don't have all the answers.

But I do know Who does. ❤️

To every person who has donated, volunteered, prayed for us, shared a post, encouraged us, or simply believed in what we're trying to accomplish, THANK YOU!

You may never fully realize the difference you're making. Every bit of support helps us continue loving on these children, encouraging adults to discover their abilities and purpose, and creating a place where people know they matter.

And to our volunteers, I hope you know just how much you mean to me. I couldn't do this without you, and I wouldn't want to.

I truly believe we're standing at the beginning of a new chapter for Hope for Hooves. I'm excited, a little overwhelmed, and more than anything, humbled that God would allow us to be part of it.

I'm reminded of Ephesians 3:20, that God is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine.

And goodness, can I imagine some things! 😂

But His plans are so much greater than mine.

So today, I'm simply saying thank You, Lord, for the doors you've opened, the people you've brought alongside us, the prayers you've answered, and even the things you're working on that we can't see yet.

The foundation has been laid. I believe it's time to start building. 🙏

🎀 Ladies… this is your reminder to CHECK YOUR TA-TAS! 🎀

We can remember everybody else’s appointments, birthdays, schedules, groceries, and a hundred other things… but sometimes we forget to take care of ourselves. 💗

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a reminder to know your body, pay attention when something feels different, and keep up with the screenings recommended for you.

Know your normal. Notice changes. Don’t put off getting something checked.

And to every woman currently fighting, every survivor, every family walking through it, and every beautiful soul we’ve lost…...

We see you. We honor you. We stand with you. 🎀

So consider this your loving nudge from all of us at Hope for Hooves to

This beautiful horse started as a painting by Ethan Washington, one of our faithful volunteers, and I absolutely fell in love with it.

The more I looked at it, the more I kept thinking about the scripture, Ephesians 2:10, “For we are God’s masterpiece.”

And honestly, could there be a more perfect verse?

Because Ethan created this, it came from him, his hands, his creativity his gift, his ABILITIES.

We took his original painting and turned it into this design, but I want to make sure everyone knows that Ethan is the artist behind it.

And THIS is what gets me so excited about where Unbridled Abilities is headed.

I don’t just want our participants to come here and work for a couple of hours. I want them to discover what they’re good at. I want them to have opportunities to use those gifts. I want them to know what it feels like to create something and then hear someone say, “I need that.”

This is also exactly why I keep dreaming about 'the next phase'. A place where things created, grown, made, or helped along by some incredible humans can actually be sold and enjoyed by our community.
