M.O.K.I.E.S.

M.O.K.I.E.S. MOKIES stands for Moms Of Kids In Every School. We are a group of active mothers focused on the community of North Attleboro and supporting one another.

Formed in 2010, MOKIES initially was founded to offer children in North Attleboro opportunities to become involved in our community. We currently organize a number of fundraisers, coat drives, and food drives. Before COVID hit, MOKIES volunteers served once a month at the North Attleboro soup kitchen. Our commitment to serving the soup kitchen continues with our Blessing Bags initiative which began in November of 2020.

The zoo will continue to be open every day from 9am-4pm with last admission at 3:30pm. Here's a list of some of the events we have coming up!

One of the best ways to support Capron Park Zoo is to visit the zoo. You can also purchase a membership online or in the gift shop. These memberships offer additional perks with reciprocal benefits at select other facilities! Red panda encounters are a great way to get up close and personal with our animals, and more details about booking these encounters can be found on our website. If you haven't followed Capron Park Zoo on Instagram, we would appreciate that too. In addition, members of the public may submit written comments to the Municipal Council office or by email to [email protected]

Thank you for your support.

*Please note that the Pride event is actually scheduled for Saturday, June 27th*

TOMORROW!! Saturday, May 10, the 2025 Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive

Health Department Partners with Local Postal Branches for ‘Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive’

Donations to Support Lenore’s Pantry
Director & Public Health Nurse Anne Marie Fleming is pleased to announce that the North Attleborough Health Department is partnering with local postal branches to participate in the 2025 Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.

On Saturday, May 10, the 2025 Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive will take place. Community members who want to support the food drive should leave non-perishable food items in a bag near their mailbox on the morning of May 10. Mail carriers will collect the food during morning routes and drop off the donations at the town hall.

All donations will benefit Lenore’s Pantry and St. Mary’s Food Pantry.

“The Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive greatly helps supplement and fill Lenore’s Pantry’s shelves, which are typically low at this time of the year,” said Director Fleming. “We appreciate all who participate in this drive and help assist us in fighting food insecurity.”

About the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive
The National Association of Letter Carriers’ annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive takes place on the second Saturday in May each year. Since 1993, participating mail carriers have collected non-perishable food items on their routes to donate to local food pantries.

For 20 years, NAHS parents have been organizing an event called the All Night Grad Party. The event happens the night of graduation when members of the senior class go to the YMCA and enjoy a variety of entertainment such as caricature artists, a casino, and a hypnotist from 11pm until 6am. This offers the graduates a safe environment to celebrate together as a class.

However it takes a huge effort by parents to fundraise the entire school year to put on this event. One of their fundraisers is coming up. Dumpster Day! Anyone can help support the class of 2025 while getting rid of junk at the same time! So mark your calendars and bring your junk to the NAMS parking lot on Saturday April 26th.

Dumpster Day is around the corner! Start getting your junk together and help support the ANGP.

Be sure to get out and vote tomorrow! North Attleboro has come too far since the passage of the override to go backwards. There are candidates for Town Council that support overturning all of the great things our town has achieved. This list from the NAFT is a great place to start making sure North Attleboro continues to move forward. No going back. Join MOKIES and support these candidates at the ballot box tomorrow!

We are saddened to have to share that Leo has passed of cancer relapse. He will be forever 15 and his family and friends will be having his first heavenly birthday tomorrow! He won’t be there and nothing we say or do will make it right, but please don’t let that keep you away.

His mother said it best and very wisely when she shared that he is out of pain and her and her family’s is just beginning.

If you have any connection to the family, please reach out and find ways to support Leo’s Legacy and his family. They need you. Let Leo inspire you to do something out of your comfort zone and give from your heart.
