This summer reminded us how far one small instrument can travel. 💛🎶

Across hospitals and partner programs, each ukulele became an invitation for a child to play, create, express themselves, and experience a moment of comfort through music.

We’re deeply grateful to every music therapist, care team, partner, donor, and supporter who helped make this impact possible from June through August.

As we move closer to reaching 18,000 children, we’re reminded that every gift helps keep the music going.

Sold out 💛 Every guitar from the 2022 Luthiers For A Cause has now found a home and we want to take a moment to thank the people who made it possible 🎶

💛Steve Grimes of Grimes Guitars
💛Ben Wilborn of Wilborn Guitars
💛Peter Robson of Robson Acoustic Guitars
💛Jay Lichty of Lichty Guitars

They volunteered their time, their craft, and months of their lives to each build an exceptional guitar that was sold in benefit of our mission. None of them asked for anything in return. None of them kept a penny from the sale.

The proceeds from this project have turned into hundreds of children receiving a uke of their own from 2022 until the last guitar sold now in August 2026. That is many years of impact, through the generosity of these Luthiers.

Since 2017, LFAC has brought world-class builders together around a simple idea: that the high quality instruments they make can do more than sound beautiful. Their first project, a set of six ukuleles, raised over $100,000 for UKC.

We are so grateful to everyone who contributed and supported this project.:
💛 To Jay Lichty, founding member of LFAC, who said it best: he gets to do what he loves, alongside luthiers he admires, and at the end of the day it’s all for a great cause.
💛To Dream Guitars and Paul Heumiller for hosting the initial auction and championing this from day one.
💛To TKL Cases, Rodgers Tuning Machines, Craig Lavin Custom Inlays and StewMac for their generous support of materials that made these instruments.
💛To Steve Grimes for donating every piece of wood used on these guitars.
💛To the buyers that not only received a world-class one-of-a-kind instrument , but chose to purchase a guitar that converted into hundreds of kids making music in the hospital

Four Luthiers. Four guitars. For the kids. Thank you, all of you 💛🌎🎶

Kinda chic to care a little extra. 💛🎶

For the people who show up, make a difference, and bring a little more joy into a child’s day. This one’s for you. ✨

Thank you to everyone who helps make healing through music possible. 💙

A little ukulele, a beautiful song, and Peyton making it her own. 💛🎶

Here’s Peyton with her take on Billie Eilish’s “L’AMOUR DE MA VIE.” There’s something special about hearing a familiar song through the sound of a ukulele. ✨

Keep making music, keep sharing it, and keep spreading a little more joy through every song. 💙

We are thrilled to officially welcome Stephanie Epstein, MA, MT-BC, as Chair of the Ukulele Kids Club Board of Directors! 💛🎶

For those who know UKC’s story, Stephanie needs little introduction. We consider her a co-founder of the Ukulele Kids Club alongside Corey and Edda, thanks to the extraordinary role she has played in shaping our mission from its earliest years and ensuring that music therapy was at the very heart of what we do.

Stephanie is a nationally recognized music therapist, educator, and leader. She established the music therapy program at Holtz Children’s Hospital at UM/Jackson Memorial Hospital, where she serves as lead music therapist and internship director, and she is also the founder of Harmonic Health Music Therapy, providing pediatric music therapy services across South Florida.

Her work has been featured by NBC Nightly News, Miami Herald, Huffington Post, and U.S. News & World Report, and her leadership has earned numerous honors, including being named a 2025 Centennial Medalist by the University of Miami Frost School of Music and receiving the Sebastian Strong Foundation C.A.P.E. Award for her commitment to children facing cancer.

Most importantly to us, Stephanie has spent years advocating for the power of music therapy and helping UKC grow into an organization that supports pediatric music therapy programs around the world one session at a time.

We could not imagine a better person to help lead UKC into its next chapter. Please join us in congratulating our new Board Chair, Stephanie Epstein! 💛🌎🎶

Christopher was busy ”saving the world” on his computer when music therapist Jaynie walked in and gave him a ukulele that changed his day. 💙🎶 ”It didn’t take long before he was making music with confidence.” Both his mom and his music therapist were amazed with how quickly he picked it up.

Moments like these remind us that a simple instrument can spark joy, creativity, and confidence when it’s needed most.

Every donation creates moments that truly matter. ✨🎸
