We’re proud to welcome Steve Conrad as Ukulele Kids Club’s new Director of Development.
With more than 25 years of nonprofit fundraising, grant writing, and strategic development experience, Steve brings a powerful combination of leadership, storytelling, music, and service to UKC.

A lifelong musician, arts advocate, ukulele player, and instructor, Steve deeply understands the healing power of music and the joy it can bring to children facing serious health challenges.

As Director of Development, Steve will lead UKC’s fundraising strategy, donor engagement, grant development, corporate partnerships, and philanthropic growth as we continue our mission of placing the healing power of music into the hands of children around the world.

🎉 Happy Birthday, Corey Bergman! 🎉

Today we celebrate our founder, Corey, a lifelong musician whose belief in the healing power of music was born from one of the most unimaginable experiences a parent can face, the loss of his son.

Through grief, Corey turned to music, and in doing so helped create a movement that has brought comfort, joy, and healing to thousands of children and families around the world. His story is a reminder that music doesn't erase pain, but it can help carry us through it.

These days, you can still find Corey on stage, sometimes with his dear friend John Fauci rocking Led Zeppelin classics. During the pandemic, John generously joined our Live at the Clubhouse series, helping raise critical funds for UKC and performing at multiple benefit events. A talented singer-songwriter and an even better friend, John has been part of the community spirit that Corey has cultivated from the very beginning at UKC.

Happy Birthday, Corey. May you continue making music, building community, and sharing your heart with the world for many years to come. Thank you for showing us what happens when one person's love of music becomes a gift to so many others. ❤️🎶🎸

We’re excited to welcome Holy Childhood in Rochester, New York, to the UKC 💛

Through their School Program, Holy Childhood provides comprehensive special education and therapeutic services for students ages 5–22, supporting their academic, social, creative, and life skills development.

We’re so grateful to partner with Bradie Harris, MT-BC, and the Holy Childhood team to continue sharing the joy, comfort, and magic of music with more students through the ukulele. 🎶

Sometimes, a small instrument can hold big meaning.
For one girl, it became the comfort she needed during cancer treatment. For her mom, it was surely a relief to see how music supported her daughter, and still does to this day.✨💓 Thanks to all the parents who take the time to share their stories with us. We love hearing how a simple uke, changed a day...even changed a life. 😊

Thank you so much to Pearl Jam and the Vitalogy Foundation for supporting our mission with a $2500 donation through the Future Days Fund. We’re deeply honored to have been nominated by a member of their fan club, the Ten Club, in recognition of our work bringing ukuleles to hospitalized children around the world.

“Pearl Jam has always been about creating social impact through their music and activism,” said Marlen R. Wolfe, Board Chair of UKC. “Through the Future Days Fund, they continue to set an inspiring example of how major artists can give back to nonprofits and make a meaningful difference in the world.”

We’re so happy to share that the second ukulele from this year’s donation to Angels of Joy has been gifted to a 5-year-old girl currently receiving treatment at the Hematology/Oncology Clinic of the Children’s Hospital in Athens, Greece 🎶

Thanks to your support, we’re able to bring comfort, care, and encouragement to children throughout their hospital journey ✨

After receiving her ukulele, she shared:
‘I really liked the sound, and I really liked the ukulele. I liked it when we sang.’ 🫶

📦Uke delivery day is our FAVORITE day!!! 🎁

It’s not often that we get to bring ukes in person, so we take our chances where we can! Marlen brings 10 ukes to one of our new sites in New Hampshire the Manchester Community Music School, whose music therapy program is turning 20 this year!!

Looking forward to celebrating more with them and get more ukes to more kids in New England thanks to the funds raised at the New England Uke Fest!
