First came the lettuce, now come the radishes! ❤️

We have radishes for days here at the garden! This spring weather has been just what we needed for a bountiful early June harvest, and our volunteers have been hard at work pulling, washing, and packing fresh produce for donation.

With every harvest, we're one step closer to putting nutritious, locally grown food on our neighbors' tables - and if the radishes are any indication, it's shaping up to be a great season!

A big thank you to the team from Element Technologies in Acton for spending the day at the Giving Garden! 🌱

With lettuce harvests coming in fast and new weeds popping up just as quickly, their help couldn't have come at a better time. Here they are packing freshly harvested lettuce, helping us get nutritious produce ready for donation to local food pantries.

🥬 Lettuce Palooza! 🥬

We've got romaine, red leaf, iceberg, butterhead, and one of our favorites, a crunchy variety called Xalbadora, all growing beautifully in the garden!

A huge thank you to our friends at the North Andover Senior Center, who planted these lettuces over the course of six weeks this spring - however, thanks to a stretch of heat and rain, they're all reaching peak harvest at the same time! Our volunteers have been extra busy harvesting, washing, and packing fresh produce for donation.

What a good problem to have! 💚

Our greenhouse is full of new life, with each little plant holding the promise of fresh vegetables, colorful flowers, and a season filled with growth! It is amazing to think that something so small will soon help nourish our community in such a big way
