Want to be a part of the 2nd Annual Hoosic River Run: Half Marathon, 5K & 1-Mile Walk but don’t want to walk or run? We need your help!

Hoosic River Revival is looking for volunteers to help make this year’s race happen, especially at our water stations along the course and at the post-race celebration in Courtyard A at MASS MoCA.

Some more snapshots of the course at our 2nd Annual Hoosic River Run, coming up on September 19th!

All distances will pass through MASS MoCA's campus alongside works by Mary Lum, James Turrell, Anselm Kiefer, and Franz West before continuing through historic Heritage State Park.

The 5K will take runners onto the beautiful berms of the South Branch of the Hoosic River and back, while the half marathon will continue over Route 2 and cross the Appalachian Trail twice. The half route will also pass by the former home where Doris Day spent time with her husband, North Adams native Marty Melcher, before taking in gorgeous views from Chenail's Farm on Pattison Road.

Our 2nd Annual Hoosic River Run: Half Marathon, 5K & 1-Mile Walk is right around the corner! Have you registered yet?

On a recent walk-through of our new *first-ever* half marathon route through North Adams, HRR President Nancy Bullett shared that she “just fell in love with this course,” which inspired her to expand this year’s Hoosic River Run.

An added plus- both the 5K and the half marathon will be officially timed by ARE Event Productions! Come experience the course for yourself on September 19th. Registration is open now and can be found in the event link above!

Reporting back from this past Saturday’s successful Earth Month Cleanup along the Hoosic River at Noel Field. Huge thanks to North County Litter Pickers for co-hosting, to the city councilors who joined in, and to everyone who helped clear a massive amount of litter!
