☀️🍎 FONL SUMMER LUNCH PROGRAM HAS RETURNED! 🍎☀️

The Friends of Norris Lake (FONL) is excited to once again provide our annual Summer Lunch Program for children in the Norris Lake community!

📅 June 1 – July 31, 2026
🕛 Monday – Friday

🍽 Lunch: 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
🍪 Snack Time: 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM

📍 Norris Lake Clubhouse (*320 Norris Lake Road)

Each summer, FONL volunteers work hard to provide meals, snacks, and a welcoming environment for children during summer break. This program has become a valued tradition in our community, and we're grateful to everyone who helps make it possible.

A huge THANK YOU goes out to our volunteers, donors, and supporters who help ensure local children have a place to gather, eat, and enjoy their summer.

We look forward to seeing everyone throughout the summer!

⚠️ Important Parking Notice:
Parking at Matheny Park will be VERY limited during SpringFest. Residents are strongly encouraged to walk, use golf carts, carpool, or coordinate with neighbors who live closer to the park if possible. Additional walking traffic should be expected throughout the surrounding area during the event.

Please do NOT park at or block neighboring homes, as property owners have the right to tow unauthorized vehicles from their property.

Vendor spaces are NOW available for local businesses, crafts, food vendors, and other community vendors!

The Friends of Norris Lake (FONL) would like to thank everyone who helped make the 2026 Norris Lake Bass Fishing Tournament another successful community tradition!

🎣 Big Fish & 1st Place Winners: Michael Curry & Dylan Curry – 14.98 lbs (6.26 lbs Big Fish)
🥈 2nd Place: Curry Cooper & Jeff Murray – 9.14 lbs
🥉 3rd Place: Jeremy Yancey & Jordan Crump – 9.06 lbs

Congratulations to all of our winners and a huge shoutout to every angler who participated. The sportsmanship, camaraderie, and love for Norris Lake made this tournament one to remember!

🎣 Ready to hit the water and reel in a winning catch?

The Friends of Norris Lake Annual Bass Fishing Tournament is set for Saturday, May 16th (May 17th Rainout Date), and it’s your chance to compete for cash prizes, trophies, and bragging rights while enjoying a great day on the lake. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or just looking for some friendly competition, this is an event you don’t want to miss!

This catch-and-release tournament is also a Friends of Norris Lake (FONL) fundraiser supporting future community events and engagement projects, so every entry (and donation) helps give back to Norris Lake.

📣 Tell your friends! This is one of only two Norris Lake events each year where non-members can attend without being brought as a guest—the other being the annual Norris Lake Annual Festival (formerly SpringFest & SummerFest).

⚠️ Event Day Notice: On the day of the event, the Association will close Norris Lake to all non-competing water vessels until 2:30 PM during tournament hours. This is the only time all year the lake is closed for a few hours, so please plan accordingly. Weigh-in begins at 2:30 PM at Matheny Park, so even if you’re not competing, we encourage everyone to come out around 2:00 PM to watch the weigh-in and show support for the anglers!

If you’ve got a boat and $125, you’re all set—just don’t wait too long!

✨ Thank you to everyone who joined us for our 1st Annual Friends of Norris Lake Pool Party! ✨

A little “liquid sunshine” made an appearance during the family portion of the day, but it didn’t slow us down—kids sang, danced, and splashed in the rain, making memories that will last all fall. 🌧️➡️☀️

By evening, the skies cleared and the adult party kicked off with an epic pool volleyball showdown: Team Norris vs. Team Lake. After lots of laughs and some competitive volleys, the match ended in a tie! 🏐💦

It was wonderful seeing neighbors come together for such a fun day. ❤️

🌺 Up next: our Annual Luau, hosted by the NLCBC Neighborhood Association. Stay tuned for details—you won’t want to miss it! 🌺

🌞 POOL PARTY BBQ – NOW SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 6! 🌞
**Rescheduled Due to Weather**

The Friends of Norris Lake (FONL) club is bringing the fun with our first-ever Pool Party BBQ, rescheduled to Saturday, September 6 at the Pool after a rain delay. You won’t want to miss it!

Schedule:
• Family Swim: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM (all ages welcome)
• Pool Maintenance Break: 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM
• Adults Only: 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM

This FONL fundraising event will feature:
🎶 A Live DJ
🎲 Games & Raffles
🍔 Mouthwatering BBQ and Drinks for Sale (in tennis court area)

Please Note: no outside food or drinks allowed inside the pool enclosure, except drinks in sealed, non-glass containers—at least 5ft from the pool.

Proceeds help fund more amazing community events throughout the year!

Everyone is welcome to join for BBQ and music, but pool access is reserved for Members in good standing with their Membership Card and ID, along with their guests per the Rules & Regulations (4 guests per Membership Card, up to 8 guests per household with 2+ cards).

With the pool season ending Sunday, September 21, this is one of your last chances to cool off, relax, and enjoy the water with your neighbors. Don’t miss out!
