Wealthy Cemetery

With the recent rains we have had, fresh graves tend to wash out or collapse in. Please check on your loved ones graves and fill in as needed. The cemetery provides clean white sand to fill in with at the end of the drive by fence. Feel free to use the dirt to fill with.

We need to get in contact with the Welch family that is buried out at Wealthy Cemetery. If anybody knows this family. Please have them contact Lynn Harris at 281-622-9326.

Meeting update: This year‘s meeting went well. We had a good turn out, again if we don’t have your address or you didn’t get a flyer we don’t have your address. Please contact one of the board members or call Lynn Harris the president at 281-622-9326. Also, if you need a loved one buried in your plot, or just have questions in general you may contact the president Lynn Harris. Next year we will be voting on board members for our three-year annual board member election. The paperwork for the historical marker has been filed. We are waiting for approval. We discussed our next tentative cleanup date at it is October 24 starting at 9 AM. We highly encourage you to bring your families, children, grandchildren and anyone that’s able-bodied to help out and any tools and etc. for cleanup day. If this date changes, we will update here. We are still in the process of filling out deeds for plots so if you have a family member that is buried out here or have a family that you know is buried out here or have a family member or know someone that’s buried out here that does not have a headstone we would like to know that. Ask the family to contact Lynn Harris if they had not gotten their plots deeds filled out. Thank you to everybody that showed up. We will give more updates this year If anything comes up. There will be a sign posted with the phone number to contact for burials at the front of the cemetery soon.  Lynn Harris will be scheduling a couple of Saturdays of opportunity to meet at the cemetery to fill out deeds And go over plots location etc. There will be updates here as though Saturdays get scheduled. We thank you for everybody that participated.

Clean up day at cemetery was a huge success! Thank you to Mathilda Musgrove, Gwennette Donaho , Tony Donaho, Glenn Green, Ava Green, Lynn Harris, Noreen Harris, Steven Harris, Kathy Ynfante and Bryan Ynfante! Next clean up day will me in March. Date TBD.

It’s almost here! Mark your calendars and come help clean up your cemetery! Pot luck luncheon and all tools and equipment and man/woman power you can bring is great!
