Field Day will be Sunday March 22nd from 9am – 5pm. This is an EXTREMELY important volunteer event in preparation for our Non-Profit little league run completely by volunteers.
Marvista especially is not in playable game shape right now and we need YOUR help for field day. Most of our volunteer resources should be going to Marvista. North Hill Elementary could also use a small amount of work on the infield. Please give whatever you can on this day. Last year we didn’t have enough volunteers and there were things we never got to address that have carried over as field condition problems this year.
What volunteers should bring:
-Gloves
-Shovels
-metal rakes
City Hall (Majors coaches/parents):
-4 PEOPLE TO CARRY OLD PITCHING MOUND TO PARKING LOT AND TRUCK AWAY OFF SITE (COORDINATE WITH JOSH OLSON ON THIS)
-Reposition the new pitching mound on the far field after ground leveling with gator drag.
-Fill batters box with clay (possibly)
-Remove weeds (as needed)
-Weighted nail drag the infield with gator
-Install 1B safety bags (if they arrive in time)
Marvista (AA, AAA, and softball coaches/parents):
-Nail Drag the infield with gator (priority over city hall due to playability concerns)
-Spread and level sand into the upper field (left field concentration area). Fill all holes and make solid.
-Fill batters box with clay mix.
-Remove weeds
-Install batters box markers (if we get them in time)
-Install 1B safety bags (if they arrive in time)
North Hill (Single A parents):
-Rake the heck out of the infield to smooth out all the lumps
-Remove weeds
-Edge Outfield Grass
