"Almost three years ago when I first moved to Norman and had time on my hands I started making simple fleece scarves. I had made blankets for my own kids in the past, it's quick and easy plus fleece is warm. I found I had more scarves than I knew what to do with so I started asking around as to whether anyone could use the extras. I found the need greater than what I could keep up with. This made
me sad but it also made me more determined to plug away and get as many as possible made and extended them to blankets. I started calling schools and dropping them off at churches. Then I started getting requests for more. I am glad to do it, it makes me feel good to see warm kids. However; I'm only one person (although my family does help) and I have a very modest income. My contribution is limited but I will give everything I can with all my heart! What I need: material...more material. Fleece is easiest to work with and is very warm but I will take what is given and find a purpose. If you can donate material I am GRATEFUL! If you would like to contribute monetarily that's also immensely appreciated. When spreading the word or contacting me about a need please try to include age and gender of the recipient. This helps me to determine the size of the scarf or blanket, gloves or hat. Bigger kids = longer legs (blanket), bigger hands (gloves), bigger necks (scarves).
