JCPenney Leadership Program - University of Oklahoma This program provides students with resources, experiences, and opportunities to develop leadership skills and bridge the gap between college & career.

The JCPenney Leadership Center at the Price College of Business provides high performance undergraduate business students with a myriad of opportunities to develop and increase their leadership potential through a variety of learning experiences and interactions. The goal is to promote personal and professional growth through the broadening of student perspectives and the strengthening of their bu

siness skills. Many of these outstanding students are top-level leaders in the various student organizations within Price College and throughout the OU community.

What's the best way to wrap up summer and get excited for the upcoming school year? Hanging out with the JCP family, of course! Our last mixer of the year, and Melia Alderman's last official JCP event, was last Thursday in Dallas. It is always great to see everybody and learn about how internships and new jobs are going as well as meet new additions to families!

Lots of hugs were given and stories were told as we celebrated our beloved Melia. We can't possibly communicate how much we appreciate all that she has done for this program and the people within it. We love you, Melia!

We start a new chapter in the JCPenney Leadership Program in a variety of ways this year, but we're ready for it! Bring on 2026-2027! Boomer Sooner!

We are excited to share that the JCPenney Leadership Program has successfully migrated our application and our recommendation forms for the 2026 cohort to the new OU Engage platform! All forms are OPEN! Please visit https://www.ou.edu/price/jcpl/apply to learn more about our application process.

We have ONE Prospective Associate Information Session left this summer coming up this Friday. You can register here: https://bit.ly/3SHtIOd. More sessions will be announced before the fall semester begins. Applications close on Wednesday, Sept. 9 at 5pm, so don't wait to get started!

We had a great turnout for our Alumni-Associate mixer in Houston last week! Lots of recent graduates came out and got to put on the "Alumni" badge for the first time! Fun was had, connections were made, and memories were shared!

We even managed to serendipitously run into our immediate past Chair of the Alumni Advisory Board, Colby Brown, who hails from Dallas, but just happened to be in Houston! We were also happy to to have the Price Director of Alumni Relations, Monique Browder, join in on the fun!

Just had a fantastic lunch with our corporate partners at Shell where we discussed the success of last year and made plans for 2026-2027. Shell's generous sponsorship allows our students to participate in a variety of impactful programming and events, but nothing is quite as special as participating in the OKC Memorial Marathon. Last April, we were able to register 5 quarter marathon teams who trained together, encouraged each other, and fully absorbed the significance of this event while celebrating their achievement.

It's always a good time in T-town! A lot of networking took place and fun was had at this summer's Alumni-Associate mixer in Tulsa! We had a great turnout, had a couple of alumni attend for the first time, and presented this year's Alumni of the Year award to Becky Fields Wilson!

Our first summer mixer is in the books, and we had a fantastic turnout in OKC! We never get enough of seeing different generations of our JCP family connect each summer!

The Sound Bar was a delightful new venue for this event with phenomenal staff, drinks, and vibes, and the catering from ZamZam Mediterranean Grill was delicious!

Reminiscing this years annual Alumni Career Conference!

This year’s theme, “Excel with Intention: Avoiding Complacency and Building What’s Next,” focuses on helping young professionals leverage their strengths through personal branding and meaningful professional relationships. This conference featured our wonderful keynote, Becky Fields Wilson, as well as two panels and two networking sessions with JCPLP program alumni.
