Today was a beautiful reminder of what it means to live our faith in action as members of Knights of Columbus Council 12819.
We began the morning with our monthly Knights Breakfast, where parishioners, families, and friends gathered around the table to share a meal, laughter, and fellowship. There is something truly special about seeing our community come togetherโnot simply to enjoy breakfast, but to strengthen the bonds that unite us as brothers and sisters in Christ. Every cup of coffee served, every plate prepared, and every smile shared reflected the servant leadership that our Knights strive to live each day.
โค๏ธ๐ As we looked around the room filled with families, children, parishioners, and volunteers, we were reminded that the Church is more than a buildingโit is a family. Through simple acts of service, we continue to build a stronger parish, strengthen friendships, and create opportunities to encounter Christ in one another.
Following breakfast, many of our Knights, families, and parishioners continued the day by participating in the Patriotic Rosary Pilgrimage. We gathered at the Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church and began our pilgrimage journey. As we traveled by car, Father Nabil and Deacon Larry Sousa prayerfully led the Patriotic Rosary over the radio, allowing all pilgrims to unite their voices and hearts in prayer.
๐๐ฟ Decade by decade, we prayed for our nation, our leaders, our military, first responders, our communities, and all those in need of God's mercy and protection. It was a powerful witness to the unity of faith and love of country that the Knights of Columbus proudly uphold.
Upon arriving at the shrine, pilgrims made the walk up the hill in prayer and reflection, a symbolic reminder that our journey of faith often requires perseverance, sacrifice, and trust in God. With every step, we were reminded that while the road may not always be easy, Christ walks beside us.
๐บ๐ธโจ The presence of our 4th Degree Color Guard served as a visible reminder of our commitment to patriotism, faith, and service. Their dedication added a sense of honor and reverence to this special pilgrimage.
The day concluded with a prayerful walk to the Blessed Stanley Rother Shrine before we parted ways, inspired and renewed.
Today was more than breakfast. More than a pilgrimage. It was a living example of brotherhood, faith, family, and patriotism. We gathered as parishioners, traveled as pilgrims, and departed as disciples, carrying Christ's love into our homes, workplaces, and communities.
"Faith is not simply something we believeโit is something we live. Today, through service, fellowship, prayer, and pilgrimage, we lived our faith together." ๐โค๏ธ
Vivat Jesus!
