Assistance League Norman

10/12/2026

Every child deserves to walk into a classroom ready to learn. Last school year, Assistance League® chapters across the country provided more than 464,000 students with new clothes, shoes, coats, and school supplies through Operation School Bell®, our signature program since 1958.

We're grateful to our longtime partner JCPenney and our new corporate partner , whose team assembled more than 1,400 hygiene kits for students.

We could not do what we do for kids in Norman and Little Axe without our community volunteers! A huge thank you to our friends at Kindred Wealth for rolling up their sleeves to support Operation School Bell®️

Every hour our volunteers give helps a student walk into class with new clothes, confidence, and a sense of belonging. We’re so grateful for community volunteers who show up for local kids.

Want to make a difference too? We’d love to have you! Individuals, families, and workplace teams are all welcome. Tap the link in our bio to sign up to volunteer. 👕🎒

Full circle moments like this are why we do what we do. 💛

Years ago, Jacob walked into Operation School Bell as a student, picking out new school clothes and starting the year with confidence. Today, he and his wife Natalie came back to volunteer and help the next group of Norman kids do the same.

Thank you, Jacob and Natalie Powers, for giving back to the program that once gave to you. ❤️🚌❤️

Through Operation School Bell®️, our volunteers help provide new clothing and school supplies to kids right here in our community who need it most. We have seen firsthand what it means to a child to walk into school feeling confident and ready to learn.

We cannot do this without our community. If you have ever thought about giving your time, we would love to have you join us as a volunteer. And if you are in a position to give, every donation goes directly toward helping a local child start the school year with dignity and confidence.

Together we can make sure every child in Norman feels seen, supported, and ready to succeed.

Want to get involved. Link in bio to volunteer or donate today! 💙❤️💙

You can still sign up for our Assisteens program in Norman. It’s a great opportunity for kids to learn Non profit organizational skills and give back!

We’re back! 🎉 Operation School Bell®️ is officially back in session, and honestly? This is the moment we wait for all year!

Today we watched kids walk in a little unsure and walk out standing taller with new clothes, some great gently used finds and just a little more confidence to take back to the classroom. That’s the whole point. That’s why we do this.❤️

Getting to be a small part of a kid feeling ready for school is a gift every single time. Thank you to everyone who makes this possible! Our donors, the volunteers, the community that shows up year after year. This is what it’s all about. 💙❤️💙

Welcome back, Operation School Bell. Let’s make it a great year.
