Norman Care-A-Vans needs your support! They do huge amounts of awesome work helping our unhoused friends in Norman, including continuing the meal program we started here at SILN. Pitch in a $1 per month! Anything will help them as they build a community of support and care with our unhoused friends in Norman!!

As we emerge from the freezing winter and begin preparations for another scorching summer, we are finally dedicating some time to do what nonprofits do best: ask you for money to support our work!

Our goal is to have a broad base of small-dollar donors sustaining our work. $1 per month is perfect! And we think there are at least 5,000 folks out there who dig our work and can pitch in that much. So please SHARE these posts so they get to as many folks as possible!

For this online fundraising push, we will be alternating posts describing our values, what we do, and how we spend our money with the release of the first issue of a new journal we have been developing called The Dispatch!

Hello old friends! We're just popping up on your feed to remind you to follow Norman Care-A-Vans for updates and requests about cooking meals for our unhoused friends. As we are getting a taste of the cold weather to come, Norman Care-A-Vans is also purchasing and collecting cold-weather gear to distribute to our friends who camp outside. See the post below for more information on supporting this life-saving work!

In case you haven’t stepped outside today, it is CHILLY out there! The cold drizzle today is giving way to FREEZING temperatures this week for our unsheltered friends, which means one thing for us: It’s time to GEAR UP for an early and LONG WINTER this year.

This week and in the coming months, we will be doing our best to provide the supplies our unsheltered friends need to survive the winter weather. But to make this life-saving work possible, we need you, our housed allies, to help us out!
