Meet the Hagan Family đ Part 2
We have faced challenges on this fostering and adoption journey, but God has been with us every step of the way. While fostering, Ariaâs case took many turns, and we werenât sure what was going to happen. We were concerned for her safety and well-being. Weâre thankful for Godâs protection during this time. We had to walk in faith that God really does love her more than us, and that he had a plan. What a plan he had!
Since adoption we have spent countless hours in various forms of therapy with both Bear & Aria. We have worked as a family to form attachments, learn and implement strategies to become and stay regulated, and grown together throughout the years.
In the Hagan house, everyday as a family is a victory. When you work hard to function on a daily basis, then making it through each day is a challenge and then a victory when we reach the end of the day!
Bear & Aria have overcome so many obstacles in their 7 years, and we are very proud of them. God has constantly shown up for us by providing exceptional therapists and doctors to partner with us, teachers that are life-giving and compassionate, and a church family that roots for their successes. Even though many days are hard, we have reached a place where we know on the other side of the valley is hope.
Chosen sent out cards with a gift card inside to foster and adoptive families. It was a nice treat to go out to dinner with Steven with the gift card! Also, Iâm part of a small group for foster and adoptive mamas, and Chosen provided dinner for us one night this summer. Thank you Chosen!
