Tonight is a thrilling night for Oklahoma education! Teachers from across the state are gathering for the Oklahoma State Department of Education Teacher of the Year Gala to announce the 2026 winner.
As we look forward to the big announcement, we want to look back and honor our remarkable POE member, Melissa Evon, for her incredible journey as the 2025 Oklahoma Teacher of the Year! 🌟
An educator since 1992, Melissa teaches Family & Consumer Sciences at Elgin High School. Throughout her career, she has prioritized making a meaningful impact on every student she encounters, both inside and outside the classroom. 📚
Melissa, thank you for your outstanding year of leadership, advocacy, and service to the state of Oklahoma. The entire POE family is so proud of you!
