Let’s Make Them A Home

Food and Shelter, Inc. has volunteer opportunities!

Looking for a meaningful way to give back? We need volunteers! 💚

Volunteers are a huge part of everything we do at Food & Shelter and The Share Center. There are plenty of ways to help, including:

🍽️ Preparing and serving meals
📦 Organizing donations
🛒 Stocking shelves at The Share Center
🤝 Helping shoppers find what they need
🧹 Cleaning and assisting with projects
💚 Showing up wherever an extra set of hands is needed

You don’t need special experience, and even a few hours can make a real difference. Individuals, families, churches, businesses, and community groups are welcome!

Only ✨3✨ costumes left on the WISH LIST! I’d love to have it cleared today!

I also ordered these cute bags to deliver them in AND there are 22 kiddos in total at the cottages so we will give every kid one of the bags in case they want to use them to trick or treat!

I saw that big pumpkins are only $3.50 each at Walmart so if you’d like to help us get every kid a pumpkin to paint or carve, I can message you my Venmo or you could go grab a couple and drop them off at my house!(We want to deliver them all together so we know every kid gets one!)

Yeehaw! This western cottage was SO FUN! We will be doing a baby shower for mom and her lil boy at the beginning of the year so keep your eyes peeled!

Also, the kiddos at the cottage are excited about spooky season so we will be posting a wishlist for Halloween costumes ASAP!

Thank you for being a part of our village!

Let’s Make Them A Home has been furnishing cottages at Food and Shelter, Inc. for 6 years!

We have furnished at least 9 family cottages, 12 studio cottages, + 3 offsite apartments! (We forgot to post photos of some and lost count when we got busy) 🤣

We are SO PROUD of the village we have built and could not do what we do without the support of every single one of you!

We would love to raise some money for Food And Shelter to 🎉CELEBRATE🎉 so we will link a FB fundraiser, and yes, all the donations go straight to F&S! $6,000 would be INCREDIBLE!

The cottages + case managers they provide along with all the other services like daily meals, showers, + laundry + grocery access are INVALUABLE to our community and every donation matters!

Thanks again for supporting this journey and here’s to 6 more years! 🏡🖤🏡

Yeehaw! The WISH LIST is up for the cottage we are starting today! The young pregnant mama likes a western style so this should be FUN!

She’s not due until the spring so we are going to focus on getting her home + safe and then in the new year we will do a BABY SHOWER!
