We’re proud to spotlight athlete Adam Jeffery, a longtime Special Olympics Illinois competitor whose dedication continues to shine.

From his start in 2018 to competing year‑round through STEPS and WDSRA, Adam brings heart and positivity to every sport he plays. He’s a member of the Chicago Fire FC Unified team, which takes the field in Chicago this Saturday, May 9 ⚽ and plans to run with Team Special Olympics Illinois in the 2026 Bank of America Chicago Marathon this October.

Adam shares what drives him, what inclusion means to him, and why every opportunity with Special Olympics Illinois “brings joy, happiness and positive vibes.” Thank you, Adam, for being the !

Our Cool Schools Made a Huge Splash! ❄️🌊

Thanks to the incredible support of our schools, our Cool Schools raised an amazing $672,000!

Top Fundraisers:
• Helen Keller Junior High led Cool Schools with $59,726
• Illinois Wesleyan Athletics led the College Cup with $25,883

We are so grateful to every school, student, staff member, and supporter who helped make this event such a huge success. Thank you for your dedication and generosity! 💙
