“Reading Rainbow” premiered in 1983, and ran for 23 years. The beloved show encouraged young readers to “take a look,” because whatever knowledge they sought, “it’s in a book.” It was created to avoid the dreaded "summer slide," bridging the reading gap for children and improving their skills. It was also a show that kids wanted to watch.

For over two decades, the show achieved its goal of not only reading to kids, but also making kids want to read. What made it such a success? https://bit.ly/4vJfVGd
