We had a great time entertaining Brother Olafur Haraldsson from St. John’s lodge Najala #4 of Iceland who is a resident now of Gothenburg, Sweden where he practices our craft at a lodge there. Brother Olafur is a Master Mason and an 8th degree in the Swedish Rite (they have 10 degrees). He attended our weekly Calcott School and Norfolk #1’s stated meeting. Hopefully he will be returning to our area this fall and more of our brethren can meet him and learn about how they practice our craft in the Nordic countries which is quite different but yet the same in the important tenants of Freemasonry.

We had a great time entertaining a fellow brother Olafur Haraldsson from St John’s lodge Njala #4 in Iceland who lives now in Gothenburg Sweden. He attended the weekly Calcott School and the Norfolk #1 stated meeting. Brother Olafur is a Master Mason and an 8th degree in the Swedish Rite (they have 10 degrees). Hopefully he will be back in the fall and more of our brethren can enjoy his company and realize that as our two Masonic orders are very different we still have many things in common.
