Another "Super Successful Earth Day" event. Thanks to OV Lions Tracy, Ruth Anne, Meredith, Nancy, with assistance of Lion Gary. A large number of used sneakers and eyeglasses were collected to be re-used and recycled. Additionally, Lions Brooms were available for sale. Special thanks to Miles Memorial Church, on Granby St. for lending their corner "Christmas Tree" lot for the day.

A great meet-up with a traveling Lion Capt./Dott. Sante Grande from District 1081a3 Italy. Fun to learn our clubs are busy with the same desire to serve. Lion Meredith, Gary, Mick and I shared beer and nachos and lots of conversation. If I may, a quote Lion Sante "The Lions are a wind of love without borders"

OV Lions boxed up 400 Books to be Donated to Samaritan House to go into their 14 safe houses, as part of our "Bound to Read" Initiative, headed up by Lion Meta

Lion Meta and Meredith delivered "Bound to Read" books to Richmond for shipping as part of our literacy project. This shipment brings the number of books shipped, to date, to 20,000 books. Bound to Read is a major literacy project coordinated by Lion Meta and supported by OV Lions.
