🔥 BROTHER TO BROTHER CAMP 2026 – FINAL DAY RECAP! 🔥
“Educate. Empower. Elevate.”

We concluded our 2026 Brother To Brother Camp with a powerful and deeply meaningful experience in Southampton County, VA at the Nat Turner Library — and what a day it was!

Our Scholars stood on sacred ground as we visited the church where Nat Turner grew up and walked through the wooded area where the historic revolt was staged. (See pictures below.)
It was eye‑opening to learn that none of the properties or remaining structures connected to this pivotal moment in history are listed as historical landmarks — a reminder of how essential it is for us to preserve and teach our own history.

But the day didn’t stop there.

We were honored to receive powerful instruction from renowned motivational speaker and author Dr. Umar Johnson, who spoke directly to each Scholar, asking them individually what they aspire to become. His message was clear, strong, and necessary:
💬 “You are more than sports and entertainment.”
He challenged them to dream bigger, think deeper, and recognize their limitless potential.

Joining him was our very own Black Lives Matter 757 leader, Mr. Japharii Jones, who reminded our young men that they are NOT YN’s — reinforcing their worth, identity, and responsibility to themselves and their community.

Today was educational.
Today was inspirational.
Today was transformational.

Our history is not far removed from us, and understanding it is essential to ensuring it is never repeated. The lessons learned today will stay with our Scholars for a lifetime — strengthening their sense of identity, purpose, and brotherhood.

As we close out this year’s Brother To Brother Camp, we are proud, grateful, and excited for the future of these young kings.

🔥 BROTHER TO BROTHER CAMP 2026 – DAY ONE RECAP! 🔥
“Educate. Empower. Elevate.”

What an AMAZING first day! Our Scholars kicked off the Brother To Brother Camp with a powerful journey through education, history, and innovation — guided by the men of the Hampton Roads Committee of 200+ Men.

✨ Here’s what we accomplished today (August 20th):
📍 Elizabeth City State University
Our young men got an inside look at their Aviation Program, toured their regional airport and even enjoyed a live flight simulator demonstration!

📍 Historic Jarvisburg Colored School
We stepped into history and honored the legacy of African American education through a meaningful guided tour.

📍 Wright Brothers National Memorial
The Scholars connected courage, innovation, and leadership while learning about the pioneers of flight.

The energy, curiosity, and brotherhood were incredible — and this is only the beginning.

🌟 DAY TWO starts tomorrow!
We’re heading to the Nat Turner Library for a powerful educational experience you won’t want to miss.

🌞☀️ What an Incredible Day of Brotherhood, Fellowship & Fun! ☀️🌞

Our annual Hampton Roads Committee of 200+ Men Cookout was an absolute success! From great food and laughter to meaningful conversations and lasting memories, the day was a true reflection of what our Brotherhood is all about.

A special thank you to Congressman Bobby Scott for taking time out of his busy schedule to join us. Your presence and continued support of our mission to mentor and uplift young people throughout our community mean so much to our organization.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to our gracious host, our fellow 200+ Men Board Member, R.C. Miller, for opening his beautiful home to us and making every guest feel like family. Your hospitality, generosity, and warm welcome created the perfect setting for an unforgettable day.

To everyone who attended—thank you for bringing your energy, smiles, and Brotherhood spirit. Events like these remind us that we're more than an organization... we're family.

🎣 Hooks, laughs, and unforgettable memories! 🌊

What an incredible time our brothers from the Hampton Roads Committee of 200+ Men had during our annual fishing trip at Dockside Seafood & Fishing Center in Virginia Beach! From reeling in great catches to sharing plenty of laughs, the day was filled with fellowship, friendship, and memories that will last a lifetime.

As we continue building stronger bonds, we're reminded that brotherhood isn't just about the work we do—it's also about the moments we share together.

😄 Our Scholars are out for the summer, but our members are in with the fellowship—hookin',
cookin', and never overlookin' the brotherhood!

Thank you to everyone who came out and made this year's trip another huge success. We can't wait to do it again next year!
