One of our awesome workers, Matt, was able to attend the IAM Virginia State Council hosted in Richmond. This spring session addressed ongoing attacks on federal workers’ collective bargaining rights, and outlined opportunities to expand organizing. We are so proud to have an ongoing presence with our union siblings and grateful for all their support as we work towards our first contract! Way to go Matt!!

Meet Sarah, NBG horticulturist!

Sarah enjoys working on Discovery Peak in the children’s garden and discovering unusual food plants for display.
She likes to dabble in photography, and one of her favorite places to take pictures of is the Japanese Garden during Spring and Fall.

We are so proud to be joining the oldest continuous local with the IAM (136 years!), Local 10, along with our peers

Thank you to all the family, friends, peers, and now Union siblings who helped us get to this point. As we move into the next steps of negotiating our FIRST contract, we will undoubtedly turn to you all for support. We are all so looking forward to our futures at NBG! ❤️🎉
