The main purpose of the choir is to develop in each young singer a self-respect and respect for others based upon clearly stated and solidly proven values, while striving for excellence in academic

s and cultural personal pursuits. It has been proven that musical training provides a basis for discipline and focus that enhances self-esteem in our youth.

The Boys Choir of Hampton Roads was deeply honored to be invited to sing Christmas carols and lift the holiday spirit at The Shops at Hilltop. It was a joyful and memorable outing—sharing music outside the stores and inside the restaurants, spreading cheer everywhere we went.

The young men had a wonderful time, and we offer our sincere thanks to Mr. Sparrow for his generosity in treating the Choir to lunch at Sam’s Club. That kindness did not go unnoticed.

We also took a special moment to raise a toast in celebration of David Whyte, Jr., honoring his graduation today from Old Dominion University. A day filled with music, gratitude, and well-earned celebration—exactly the way it should be.
