Everyone deserves a decent place to live🏡💙

Did you know that our three ReStores in Norfolk, Virginia Beach, and Franklin keep thousands of pounds of reusable furniture, appliances, and building materials out of landfills while offering them to shoppers at affordable prices? Every purchase helps fund Habitat SHR’s Homeownership and Critical Home Repair programs, supporting housing affordability right here in our community!

Framing Frenzy is made possible by community partners who show up for their neighbors, and the City of Chesapeake continues to be a wonderful example of that commitment!🛠️

The City of Chesapeake Government team got to work installing more exterior sheathing and continuing the second-floor subfloor alongside our Red Hat volunteers, bringing dedication and a collaborative spirit to the build site. We’re especially grateful that many members of the team have volunteered with Habitat before, a reflection of their continued commitment to our mission and to the community they serve.

Thank you to the City of Chesapeake for your ongoing partnership and for working alongside us to increase access to safe, affordable homeownership right here in our community!🏠💙

Thank you to Goosehead Insurance - The Torcia Agency for bringing a can-do attitude to Framing Frenzy, tackling every task with enthusiasm and dedication!💪🏼🏠

The Goosehead Insurance - Torcia Agency team got to work securing trusses, beginning installation of the second-floor subfloor, and cutting the stairs that will lead to the second floor. Throughout the day, we also had some great conversations about the importance of housing stability and the role local businesses can play in supporting their communities.

By the end of the day, the team left with a deeper understanding of our mission and an eagerness to help more people connect with Habitat’s work. We’re grateful for their hard work on site and their enthusiasm for helping more people access safe, affordable homeownership!💙

From swinging hammers to cheering each other on, our Women Build Club brought both strength and heart to the build site!🩵🔨

Our incredible Women Build Club brought the energy to Framing Frenzy, with longtime members and new faces working side by side to help build a home for a local family. From learning to use new tools to installing trusses and exterior sheathing, everyone had a part to play.

Watching these women encourage one another, take on new challenges, and contribute to another woman’s dream of homeownership was a powerful reminder of what this community we've built is all about. We had a fantastic time building together!

A big shoutout to The Broker for bringing their energy and service-minded spirit to the Framing Frenzy build site!💙🏠

The Broker's team continued work on the first floor’s walls and installed the trusses that will support the second floor, helping set the stage for the next phase of construction.

From the moment they arrived, The Broker team jumped right into the work and brought a positive attitude to every task. We’re grateful for the time and effort they put into helping build this home, and we loved working alongside them for Framing Frenzy!🛠️

We had a great time building with Hilton Grand Vacations during Framing Frenzy!✨

The Hilton Grand Vacations team took on a range of work on the build site, from framing the interior walls and plumbing the exterior walls to installing a header. It was great to see their team jump into each task and bring such great energy to the build.

We couldn’t be more appreciative of Hilton Grand Vacations for the time, energy, and enthusiasm they brought to the build site. Their team was a pleasure to have on site, and we’re so glad we could partner with HGV for Framing Frenzy!🔨💙

We loved having TowneBank out on the build site for Framing Frenzy!🛠️💙

The TowneBank team helped to continue raising the first floor’s exterior walls before moving inside to start framing the interior walls. Their work helped bring the home's first floor together, one wall at a time.

We appreciate the TowneBank team for rolling up their sleeves on the build site and helping make progress on a home that will provide safe, affordable housing for a local family.

Thank you, TowneBank, for being part of Framing Frenzy!🏡

A huge thank you to our friends at WSP for helping us kick off Framing Frenzy!🏠🔨

The WSP in the U.S. volunteer team helped raise the first walls of this Habitat home, getting Framing Frenzy off to a great start.

Our future homebuyer, Aliya, was also on the build site, working alongside the WSP team to build her future home.

We're grateful to WSP for their continued partnership and support of Habitat for Humanity of South Hampton Roads and our mission to increase access to safe, affordable homeownership!💙

A little appreciation for our amazing Red Hat volunteers! 💙🔨

With Framing Frenzy just around the corner, we brought our Red Hats together for lunch yesterday to review final plans and thank them for all they do. From guiding and supporting our corporate volunteer teams to keeping the build site running smoothly, their time and dedication make our home builds possible.

We also took the opportunity to celebrate everything they do for Habitat with personalized goodie bags, including special Red Hat t-shirts and custom travel mugs!

We're so grateful for this talented group and their commitment to making Framing Frenzy a fantastic experience for everyone involved. With our Partner Family, Red Hats, corporate sponsors, and volunteer teams all coming together, we're looking forward to an incredible few weeks on the build site!
