At dawn, before the world asks anything of you, rest your hands gently in your lap and notice the quiet.

You are seen by the God who never looks away.

Father, You see what I carry, even when I cannot explain it. You know the hidden places of my heart, the weariness I conceal, and the thoughts no one else notices. Lord, forgive me for believing I am forgotten. Help me trust that Your loving gaze has never left me. Hold me close in the truth that I am fully known and still tenderly loved.

“She gave this name to the LORD who spoke to her: ‘You are the God who sees me,’ for she said, ‘I have now seen the One who sees me.’” : Genesis 16:13

Place both palms open on your lap or knees. Slowly open your hands as a sign of being fully seen and held. Breathe in and out slowly while naming one hidden thing God already sees. Then whisper three times: “El Roi : You see me.” Let the truth settle without forcing emotion.

Take one slow breath. Let your shoulders soften. You were never meant to carry the weight of leading your own life.

Father, I confess how often I rely on my own plans, control, and striving. Quiet the noise within me. Teach me to recognize Your voice above my fears and trust that Your care is enough. Lead me gently, Lord, and help me follow without trying to run ahead.

Ritual: Place one hand over your heart and whisper, “The Lord is my Shepherd : I lack nothing.” Then name one thing you have been trying to secure on your own and hand it to Him. Psalm 23:1 : “The Lord is my shepherd; I lack nothing.”

Write your surrender in a digital journal, physical journal, or prayer book and journal bundle. Let this be a quiet reminder that following the Shepherd means you are never abandoned or lacking what He knows you truly need.

Lord, You leave Your peace with me, You give me Your peace, not as the world gives but as only You can offer, a peace that transcends understanding and circumstances.

This isn't temporary calm that depends on everything going well, but Your own peace, the same peace You carried through storms, betrayal, and even facing the cross.

Teach me that Your peace is a gift I receive, not something I achieve through managing my life perfectly or controlling my circumstances into cooperation.

The world's peace is fragile, conditional, dependent on favorable conditions, but Your peace remains steady in chaos, secure in uncertainty, unshaken by turmoil.

Help me stop chasing the world's version of peace through comfort, control, or avoidance, and start receiving the peace You've already given, that's already mine.

Remind me that this is Your peace, the peace of God Himself, transferred from Your heart to mine, a gift that cost You everything but costs me nothing to receive.

Give me grace to live in the peace You've given instead of constantly seeking peace I'm trying to manufacture, to rest in what You've already provided.

Let Your peace guard my heart and mind today, the peace You left with me, the peace You give me, perfect peace that only comes from You.

In Jesus' name,

Amen.
