A few weeks ago, we partnered with TowneBank to host a volunteer event to benefit Armed Services YMCA Hampton Roads ❤️

150 Snack bags were packaged and bookmarks were made with inspirational notes of encouragement!

We're incredibly thankful to our community partners who continue to give back to those in need, ensuring all of South Hampton Roads has the opportunity to thrive ✨

Earlier this week, we had the pleasure of attending TowneBank's Annual Campaign Breakfast at their TowneBank Member Service Center, Suffolk Campus!

We're incredibly thankful for TowneBank's leadership, as they surpassed their campaign goal last year, raising over 1 million dollars for our organization through employee giving, sponsorships, and corporate donations ✨

Last week, we hosted our Community Leaders Luncheon, bringing together influential and philanthropic leaders in our community.

We recognized the impact of the community's generosity, leadership, and commitment that is made every day.

Thank you to our keynote speaker, Maurice Jones, who challenged us to think about what we value - and reminded us that how we lead, invest, and show up for our community should reflect those values.

We're excited to continue serving the South Hampton Roads community, and thank those who help make this meaningful work possible.

Last week, 28 organizations came together for the Mission United Community Convening - 30 individuals who brought their experience, expertise, resources, and a genuine commitment to our military-connected community ❤️

Participants identified challenges and made recommendations on how organizations could work together to solve them.

The key takeaway was how Mission United can make it easier for community members to get the support they need, when it's needed 💪

Earlier this week, state officials, community advocates, and nonprofit leaders came together to discuss how we can best work together to ensure eligible Virginians do not lose access to SNAP and Medicaid benefits.

We had the pleasure of attending this important discussion to hear from important officials on how to address these hurdles.
