Today is Women’s Equality Day, a commemoration of the 1920 certification of the 19th Amendment that secured women’s constitutional right to vote in the United States. 🗳️

We know the time is NOW to support women’s rights by honoring their voices, acknowledging the progress, and counting to advocate for the future.

At this year’s Sustaining Together Summit, this is one of the many topics we’ll be discussing in hopes of collectively creating solutions for Hampton Roads and beyond. 🧡

This year’s programming is built around a simple idea: real change requires both understanding and action. That’s why we’ve organized the day into two tracks, Foundations and Forward.

Foundations is where we sit with the history and systems that shaped economic opportunity and exclusion in Hampton Roads.

Forward is where we turn that understanding into movement.

Attendees choose the track that meets them where they are, and both paths lead to the same place: a stronger, more economically empowered Hampton Roads.

Hampton Roads Friends and Partners, we need your immediate support!

The Office of Family Violence (OFV) informed the
agency that Family Violence Prevention and Services Act (FVPSA) funding is on hold at the request of the
federal government. This funding directly impacts the local shelters in the area, which currently house
domestic violence survivors, primarily women and young children.

With the school year beginning in just a few weeks, we are in need of shelter supplies and financial donations to keep our programs operating efficiently.
