This Saturday, through something as simple as a game, doors are opening for the Gospel to reach young hearts in Dar es Salaam. During school break, our NFC volunteers and staff in Tanzania planned a community outreach for local children in order to build connections and pray with them. What looks like a football clinic is really an opportunity for lives to be changed forever.

We’re believing for more encounters, for seeds planted, and for a generation to know Jesus.

We’re excited to introduce the new President of New Fire for Christ, Dr. Mike Hennigan.

While this is a new role, Mike is not new to New Fire. Over the past 18 months, he has faithfully served in multiple capacities, already helping carry the heart and mission of this ministry forward.

Dr. Mike has extensive experience with pastoral ministry and has a deep passion for missions and sharing the Gospel. He holds a Master of Divinity from Oral Roberts University and a Doctorate of Ministry from Regent University. He and his wife, Elizabeth, have been married for 29 years and are blessed with four children.

As Mike steps into this role, Dr. Bob and Mallory Boyd will continue to serve as Founders, remaining actively involved in the mission and vision of New Fire.

We are expectant for what God will do in this next season. Dr. Mike is excited to continue building on the foundation that has been laid and to move the mission of New Fire forward with faith and purpose.

We are New Fire for Christ. We are a global evangelistic ministry dedicated to sharing the message of Jesus Christ in strategic nations around the world.

We currently have active missionaries in East Africa, India, Pakistan and the US.

Rev. Stephen recently shared an update from the boys school — and it’s nothing short of answered prayer.

He described 30 students opening their hearts to Jesus.
Asking questions.
Opening their Bibles.
Choosing to follow Christ.
These aren’t just classroom lessons.
These are eternal moments.

Through consistent teaching and faithful presence, Rev. Stephen and the team are seeing hearts soften and bold faith take root among these young men.

Matthew 28: 16- 20 says to “go and make disciples”…
Discipleship is at the heart of what we do.

Across East Africa, pastors, teachers, and students are gathering every week to study Scripture, ask questions, and grow deeper in their faith.

Through discipleship, lives are being transformed and hope is spreading.

Nahayo from Burundi is a student of our School of Discipleship! Before knowing the Lord, she struggled with fear and low self-worth. Through the teaching of our volunteers on creation, she finally found that she had been made with value and love by God! She accepted Jesus at that time, and now participates actively in her school fellowship, encouraging other girls with the Word.

In November, our Tanzania volunteer team’s evangelism efforts expanded through collaboration with EAGT-Temboni Local Church and NJPC Church. Together, they conducted street evangelism, house-to-house visits, and discipleship training. Since then, the children’s ministries of both churches have nearly doubled in size. EAGT attendance rose from 10 to 19 and NJPC attendance rose from 16 to 27! Pray that the fruit of this outreach will be lasting and have a powerful impact on these children’s lives.
