Call them up. Write letters. Organize a picket. Whatever you do, let these companies know that the people of Tidewater won't stand for the heartlessness and greed they've displayed in choosing to contract with ICE.

Hundreds of for-profit and nonprofit corporations have pulled in billions of dollars worth of ICE contracts in recent years.

Rumors are circulating of a police raid on an ICE-related occupation in Richmond. As far as we're aware, these rumors are unsubstantiated. Friends in Richmond are looking further into the situation. In the meantime, please do not circulate that post if you see it, and stay safe.

Heads up! This facility is two hours away from Norfolk, between Richmond and DC. As far as we're aware, Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail is still the local ICE holding facility, located in Williamsburg.

A former jail in Caroline County will house illegal immigrants after an agreement with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

ICE vehicle just left the Norfolk. Federal Building headed down Granby St toward the TCC campus.

UPDATE: Norfolk Greyhound Station, for the time being, is clear.

UPDATE: The FPS (Federal Protective Services) vehicle did not leave the Norfolk Federal Building with the Border Patrol vehicle. The FPS car is still here as of 12:58pm. This does not necessarily mean there are no FPS agents protecting the ICE officers who left the Federal building, but the cars were together, and now ICE appears to be operating alone.

For the people wondering what ICE vehicles look like. This is at the Norfolk Federal Building. One of the pictures is of an FPS car. FPS is part of the executive branch often used by ICE as bodyguards.

"After an altercation during which the lawsuit alleged the Mexican teenager bit a staff member during a beating, he was restrained in handcuffs and shackles for 10 days, resulting in bruises and cuts. Other teens interviewed as part of the court case also reported being punished for minor infractions with stints in solitary confinement, during which some of the children said they were left n**e and shivering in cold concrete cells."

The children say they were beaten while handcuffed and locked up for long periods in solitary confinement, left n**e and shivering in concrete cells.
