Whenever we travel for a conference, one of our favorite things to do is visit the local LGBTQ+ center and connect with the people doing the work in their community. 💜

While in Houston, members of our team, including CEO Stacie Walls, Sr. Director of Business Strategy & Operations Christopher Reybrouck, Director of Client Services Kristin St. Louis, and Pharmacy Program Manager Julia Garcia, had the chance to visit our friends at the Montrose Center.

It was an incredible visit filled with connection, learning, and inspiration. There’s something powerful about seeing how LGBTQ+ communities across the country are building spaces of care, belonging, and support.

Thank you to the Montrose Center for welcoming us. We’re leaving feeling energized, connected, and inspired by what’s possible when community leads the way. 🌈

Today, we joined IKEA Norfolk for their Pride flag raising, a reminder that visibility matters, community matters, and showing up matters.

We’re grateful for partners like IKEA who continue to support LGBTQ+ people not just during Pride, but year-round.

Thank you for helping create a Hampton Roads where everyone can feel seen, welcomed, and celebrated. 🏳️‍🌈

As a beneficiary organization of the Elton John Impact Awards, LGBT Life Center is able to continue driving meaningful change for LGBTQ+ communities through free testing, covering pharmacy co-pays at our in-house partner pharmacy, and clinical services at our on-site clinic, The Clinic at The Center. 🌈

This program goes beyond celebration, providing critical funding and visibility to organizations like ours, helping expand life-affirming programs and reach more people who need support.

We’re also excited to celebrate the trailblazers being recognized for shaping culture through their sustained impact on the LGBTQ+ community.

Don’t forget to tune in starting June 1 on iHeartRadio or wherever you get your podcasts to hear powerful stories from this year’s incredible honorees.

Last night we attended PRIDE Night at Dr. Smile at The Z, and wow. What an excellent show.

Dr. Smile tells the true story of Dr. Valli Meeks, a Black dentist who, during the height of the HIV epidemic, fought alongside her HIV+ patients for care, dignity, and respect when so many doors were closed. It’s powerful, moving, and deeply relevant to our community and history.

And if last night was any indication… the buzz around Pride this year is VERY real. We’re ready. 🌈

Huge thanks to the team at The Z for creating something so meaningful.

JUNE 10 EVENT: Allyship with Rabbi Mike Moskowitz at Sandler Center

What does allyship look like when it’s rooted in faith?

In a time when LGBTQ+ people are too often told there’s no place for them in religious spaces, voices like Rabbi Mike Moskowitz remind us that faith and belonging do not have to be at odds.

An Orthodox rabbi and longtime LGBTQ+ ally, Rabbi Moskowitz explores how sacred texts can be read through the lens of compassion, dignity, and showing up for one another, not despite difference, but because our shared humanity calls us to it.

This is a thoughtful read on allyship, faith, and what it means to build communities where people feel seen.

We’re honored to be a beneficiary of Elton John Impact Awards, celebrating the changemakers who are redefining culture and uplifting the LGBTQ+ community. 🌈

Because of this support and visibility from The Elton John Impact Awards, Procter & Gamble and Looking Out Foundation, LGBT Life Center is able to offer free HIV and STI testing to our community.

This year’s honorees, including Jonathan Bailey, Laverne Cox, Melissa Etheridge, Billie Jean King, Orville Peck, and Chappell Roan, have driven change, shaped culture, and made a positive impact on society.
