In an effort to be responsive to our community, we pledge to invest our time and money in our community. Enhance professional development.

The WEB of the Norfolk Area Chamber of Commerce is organized to encourage involvement and leadership by business and professional women through networking and education. The Woman of the Year Award, formerly known as the Marlene Ahrenholtz Award: Recognizes outstanding business and professional women for their contributions to their business and community. Monthly donations are given to local orga

nizations in need. Networking with other working women in northeast Nebraska

Networking opportunities with other members. Enjoy educational opportunities through monthly speakers and special events. Enjoy the recognition of membership achievements. Make business contacts. Share similar interests and ideas. Take part in the opportunity to share your expertise. Develop and use your leadership skills. Build long-lasting friendships. Receive incentives for recruiting new members. Gain a sense of sharing and community pride with other women. and so much more...

Eligibility:
Members must meet one of the following criteria:
Business member of the Norfolk Area Chamber of Commerce
Spouse of a business member of Norfolk Area Chamber of Commerce
Norfolk Area Chamber of Commerce Employees

Luncheon meetings are held over the noon hour the 2nd Wednesday of the month at various locations throughout Norfolk.

Women Embracing Business had an incredible June General Meeting to kick off our summer break! A huge thank-you to
House of Colour - Tina Myers enlightening us about the importance of correct color in our clothing/make-up and lives!

Women Embracing Business proudly celebrated our 2025 Woman of the Year, Leisa Piper! 🌟

Our annual luncheon at the McMill Building brought together Leisa’s family, coworkers, past honorees, and an incredible community of women who showed up to honor her impact.

We were inspired by Paula Alder’s heartfelt tribute and her message, “Who You’re Meant to Be.” Everyone left feeling encouraged, empowered, and ready to shine their light, just as Leisa has done for so many years.

Congratulations again to Leisa Piper, our 2025 WEB Woman of the Year!

Leisa will be honored Wed., May 13, 2026 at noon at the McMill Building, 125 S. 4th Street in Norfolk. Lunch will be provided by Taylormade and our speaker will be Paula Alder, founder of The Growth Coach.
