If you’re stationed here right now, this post is for you. 🧡

Maybe Norfolk wasn’t a place you chose. Orders brought you here, and now you’re trying to turn another new duty station into something that actually feels like home.

You're navigating new streets, new routines, new schools for the kids, new friendships that take time to build. And somewhere in the middle of all that transition, you still need people.

You need people who know your kids. People you can text when life gets heavy. People who will pray with you, get you into a small group, serve alongside you, and help your whole family keep following Jesus.

So whether Norfolk is home for three years or thirty, don’t spend this season waiting for the next one.

God has you here right now!

Worship doesn’t mean everything is good. It means God is still worthy. 🙌🏽

When life doesn’t go how you hoped, you don’t have to fake it or pretend it doesn’t hurt. You can bring all of that to God and still choose to worship.

So here’s the question: Can you worship Him even when you don’t like your circumstances?

You packed the boxes again. Another set of orders. Another goodbye. Another new address to learn. Another season of helping your kids adjust while you’re still trying to find your footing, too.

For military families, “home” can change a lot. But the purpose God has given your home doesn’t.

Your family is worth fighting for. Your marriage is worth investing in. The prayers whispered over your kids matter. The ordinary moments around the dinner table matter. The decision to keep pointing your family toward Jesus matters.

You don’t need a perfect home. You need a home that keeps coming back to Jesus.

So wherever this season has your family, whether that's settled in Norfolk, preparing for a deployment, counting down to a homecoming, or wondering where the next orders will take you, keep building.

You’re on purpose for a purpose. And God can use your family to change the world right where He has you. 🙏🏼🧡

First time at Manna Church Norfolk this Sunday? We know walking into a new church can feel a little like showing up somewhere everyone knows what’s going on except you. So here’s the cheat sheet:

1️⃣ Show up. Seriously, that’s the hardest part.
2️⃣ Come as you are. No need to dress a certain way or have everything figured out.
3️⃣ Find a seat wherever you’re comfortable. No assigned seats around here!
4️⃣ Worship however you feel comfortable. Sing along, take it in, whatever helps you focus on Jesus.
5️⃣ Breathe. You’re our guest, and we’re really glad you’re here.

That’s it. No secret handshake. No church experience required.

We can’t play around with sin. But we don’t need to become the sin police either.

Love without truth leads to compromise, and truth without love leads to legalism. We need people who love us enough to tell us the truth and walk with us toward Jesus. 🙌🏽

Worship isn’t just something we do on Sunday. It’s what happens on Monday morning when you choose Jesus before the noise of the day gets loud. It’s singing in the car on the way to work. It’s opening your Bible when you don’t feel like it. It’s choosing gratitude when the week isn’t going the way you planned.

Because worship is training our hearts to love Jesus. The more we turn our attention toward Him, the more our hearts learn to stay there.

So yeah, we’re going to worship LOUD on Sundays. 👏🏼 But let’s be people who worship just as faithfully when nobody else is watching.

Compromise starts with what we tolerate. And y’all, loving people doesn’t mean ignoring sin.

We love people through their mess. We correct, forgive, and walk with people without lowering God’s standard.

That’s the tension: love people deeply AND take sin seriously.
