It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved member, Alveeta Nelson. Our sister Alveeta was dedicated to the Norfolk State Alumni Cheerleaders for more than 40 years and was a charter member of the Norfolk State Alumni Cheerleaders Chapter.
Throughout her years of service, Alveeta held numerous leadership roles within the chapter, including:
NSUAACC Parliamentarian (2012–2015)
NSUAACC Financial Secretary (2015–2018)
NSUAACC Uniform Committee Chair (2018–2021)
NSUAACC Uniform Committee Co-Chair (2021–2024)
Alveeta was also a Norfolk State University Alumni Association Lifetime Member, served as the chapter’s Ms. Alumni Cheerleader (2001–2002), and was the 2021 NSUAA Service Award recipient for our chapter.
She was more than a sister…she was a pillar, a guiding light, and a living example of service and devotion. Her legacy lives on through the bonds she built and the generations she inspired.
