For generations, the pews at Christ the King have been more than just a place to sit—they have been a part of our church family’s story. In these pews, we have prayed together, lifted our voices in worship, celebrated joyful occasions, shed tears during difficult seasons, and watched generations of families grow in their faith. Each pew carries memories of the people who have come before us and the love they poured into this church. Now, our pews are in need of restoration, and we have an opportunity to preserve this special part of our church’s history for generations yet to come. We are asking our church family, friends, and community to prayerfully consider giving toward this project. Every gift, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to restoring these pews and honoring the legacy of those who came before us. Together, we can help ensure that these seats continue to be a place where future generations will pray, worship, celebrate, and create memories of their own.
This project is being sponsored by iGiveCatholic. This non-profit organization is led by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and dozens of individual dioceses to bring the Catholic community together to inspire and support generosity. iGiveCatholic hosts the annual U.S. Catholic Church’s giving day -- " on GivingTuesday".
This year "Giving Tuesday" is on December 1st. Advanced Giving begins Monday November 16th. What does this mean for us? Donations can be made through the iGiveCatholic website, by check, or by cash any time before and after these dates. All donations received within these specific dates are tallied on the iGiveCatholic website at the end of Giving Day. The parish with the most donations received during this time period will be awarded additional cash prizes to go towards their project.
For any questions please reach out to our Fundraising Minister Caitlin Jeffcoat. Please feel free to share this post with family and friends who may be interested in helping us with this project. We are grateful for your prayers, generosity, and support as we work together to restore our pews and care for the church we all love.
