The Virginia Culinary Hall of Fame is part of Virginia Eats + Drinks Magazine, a statewide publication celebrating the culinary commonwealth.

THE CLASS OF 2019

Virginia Eats + Drinks is proud to present The Virginia Culinary Hall of Fame.

Throughout its history, Virginia has been a leading tastemaker in food and foodways.

Our state is rich in ingredients, from the abundance of the Chesapeake Bay, across the farmlands and rolling piedmont, to the Shenandoah Valley and beyond. Hospitality is a key component of Old Dominion character, with everything from nibbles on the porch to expansive holiday meals presented with a sincere interest in sharing food made by hand and from the heart. This is America's First Food Region; this is the Birthplace of American Cuisine.

It is time to showcase all the wonderful people who have flavored the state, and continue to do so.

Cooks and chefs, bartenders, farmers, watermen, winemakers, brewers, distillers, specialty food producers, advocates and enthusiasts, and more will now have their story told in one place: the Virginia Culinary Hall of Fame.

In 2019 a team of culinary professionals vetted nominees and voted on the first 10 inductees to be honored and recognized.
